About the Position

We are seeking a Manual QA Tester to bring the ruckus every day to our little relationship-driven industry and learn the ins and outs of a SaaS startup.

You'll be crucial in maintaining the quality of our releases and work directly with the Product and Engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams to understand user stories and their acceptance criteria
  • Conduct manual testing to ensure products and features perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines
  • Communicate with Product and Engineering teams to help them understand your findings
  • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Work with the Client Success team to log, reproduce, and troubleshoot incoming bug requests

Who You Are

  • Work Experience: 2 or more years of experience as a QA Tester (preferably in the SaaS/software space)
  • High-Energy Multi-Tasker: You must be able to juggle multiple ongoing tickets and softwares while maintaining great energy and composure.
  • Puzzle Solver: An analytical mind and excitement around solving problems.
  • Empathetic: A customer first mentality and a desire to understand the true use cases of each ticket you're testing.
  • Succinct: Ability to explain issues in a concise yet easy-to-understand manner, as well as document errors after troubleshooting
  • Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: A familiarity with the Internet, SaaS, and the variety of browsers and devices available helps to dig into sometimes complex issues.
  • Fun! Yes, for real, fun!: We have great relationships with each other as teammates. We send GIFs, make jokes, and are down-to-earth and authentic. We want you to be too!
  • Attention to Detail: Catching edge cases and hard-to-spot bugs requires a sharp eye and a detailed-oriented working style.
  • Self Starter: This position has a high amount of autonomy and will require strong organizational skills, drive, and an ability to focus on deadlines & deliverables
  • Software Experience: Bug tracking tools and familiarity with automated testing tools is a must! We use Linear.
  • Adaptability: This is a fast moving startup, our priorities, team structure, goals, and everything in between can change at a moment's notice. You need to be someone who thrives in an environment with less structure
  • Tenacity: We are a small but mighty team pushing a boulder up a hill. We need every team member to be the strongest link. There will be failures, but we keep getting back up
  • Bonus! An understanding of Agile methodologies + ability to build automated test cases through a QA automation tool

We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every bullet point. We are people, not checklists, and we hire as such!
