While we try not to get too "salesy" on the #AstonishingHealthcare podcast, we do like to highlight the ways modern technology, like Judi®, can enhance certain #healthcare processes and make them more efficient. As Tracey Rollins, CPM and Kristen Morgan mentioned during our most recent episode, Judi enables clients to stamp claims with names to make them more easily identifiable. And that's just one use case out of many. The end result? Better workflows for clients and a better experience for their members. 🎧 Listen to the full episode here: https://okt.to/zW4nOH

Within #healthcare, trust is vital. This is especially true when implementing a new #PBM. Plan sponsors want to make sure they and their members won't experience any disruption. So, we brought two of the best #implementation professionals - Kristen Morgan and Tracey Rollins, CPM - into the #AstonishingHealthcare studio to discuss this process - including how they work to build trust during it. But the conversation didn't stop there. We also covered how modern technology, like Judi®, enables them to work faster and more precisely. 🎧 Listen to the full episode here: https://okt.to/qVdeaT

#NeverForget is more than just a statement; it's a call to honor the #FirstResponders who ran into danger to help others, to support everyone impacted in the wake of 9/11, and to remember the friends, family, and loved ones we lost 24 years ago. As a company based in NYC with our HQ overlooking the footprints of the Twin Towers, "Never Forget" means more to us and to our team members. Please join us in taking a moment today to reflect and #AlwaysRemember. #Flight93 #Pentagon

We want to extend a big "thank you" to Bamberg Health for hosting Josh Golden (SVP, Strategy) at the US Southeast Healthcare Innovation Summit! There, he discussed the ways #pharmacybenefits can transform health system economics. While these processes often exist in the background, they are also vital to enable better alignment with plan sponsors and patient adherence. That's why working with a #transparent PBM partner is so important!

During our most recent #AstonishingHealthcare episode, one of the points we discussed was the importance of #transparency, especially when it comes to #drugprices and the wild variability we all see. This is something we've been talking about for a while, too - our co-founder & CEO, A. J. Loiacono was even on NYSE TV discussing the importance of transparency, price visibility, and unified care earlier this year. Simply put: the future of healthcare is aligned and unified. We were honored to have Congressman Jake Auchincloss (U.S. Representative, MA-04) join us for Episode 81 of #AstonishingHealthcare! If you didn't catch it, we covered a ton of health policy ground - from highlights of his Pharmacists Fight Back bill and #drugprices/NADAC to incentivizing #healthtechinnovation, supporting community health centers, and how to promote greater competition. But that's not all. We touched on #valuebasedcare and contracting and - yep, you guessed it - GLP-1s came up, too! Thanks again to Rep. Auchincloss for taking the time to join us in the studio. 🎧 Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/edWJSuPs

This week's #AstonishingHealthcare episode is a very special one. It was an honor to have Congressman Jake Auchincloss (U.S. Representative, MA-04) in the studio to discuss everything from #PBM reform to who he thinks will hoist the Stanley Cup next year. He also gave us some in-depth details behind his Pharmacists Fight Back Act, which has broad bipartisan support, and how he'd like to see the federal government play a helpful role in promoting competition and innovation in the U.S. healthcare economy. Plus, he illustrated an issue our co-founder & CEO, A. J. Loiacono, has discussed time and time again: there shouldn't be wild drug price disparities between pharmacies. You're not going to want to miss this episode. Listen to it here: https://okt.to/ivC80T

We've talked a lot about the pricing disparities in #pharmacy. That issue was a major factor that led to us creating a #SingleLedgerModel, which eliminates the obfuscation and enables all parties to see the price of the transaction. So given this was such a big issue in pharmacy, is it surprising to hear that it's prevalent on the medical side, too? According to some research from Trilliant Health (h/t MedCity News and Katie Adams for diving into this data): 😮 The median rate for a coronary bypass without cardiac catheterization or major complications is $68,194, but negotiated rates ranged from $27,683 to $247,902 — a difference of more than $220,000 💰 A coronary bypass without cardiac catheterization with major complications at Tufts Medical Center in Boston had different negotiated rates based on insurance; one negotiated rate is $95,989, while the other is $144,204 🏥 Among a sample of 10 hospitals that often appear on “best hospital” rankings, researchers found no clear link between how much care costs and the quality of that care This is definitely a must-read article on a very important topic. With everything from refrigerators to TVs having "smart" capabilities, what does it mean for something like #carenavigation to be smart? When Andy Kageleiry (VP, Judi Care) joined us in the #AstonishingHealthcare studio, he explained that personalization - in the same way social media is tailored to our individual interests and tastes - along with a #unified healthcare infrastructure, are the keys to unlocking truly personalized care recommendations. 🎧 Listen to the full episode here: https://okt.to/Hsiqac
