Newstodon: Agentic AI News for Romanian Business Statistics Romanian media covering company statistics typically adds negative spin without actual analysis. "X companies closed!" - but compared to what? Is that unusual? I've been having fun with Newstodon to see if AI could do better. An agentic system with statistical tools queries ONRC (Romania's official business registry) data. The agent decides what to analyze and generates articles based on what it finds. Every number is validated against source data. It generates two versions: * Balanced: factual analysis with context * Sensationalist: deliberately alarmist (mirroring traditional coverage) Built in a few days with Claude. Obviously there's more needed for a complete AI newspaper, but this shows what's technically feasible with agentic AI and proper data validation. Serbian developers. 2am availability. Zero cost to you. I keep hearing the same thing from UK/US tech leads: "We need .NET or Java teams who can actually think, not just execute tickets." "We're drowning in technical debt and need mid-level developers who understand systems, not just syntax." "We can't compete with London/SF salaries anymore." I don't run a dev shop. I don't do recruitment-as-usual. What I do: place Serbian developer teams (mid-level, .NET/Java) who work your hours, including that 2am slot when your production database decides to have an existential crisis. The part everyone asks: "What's the fee?" Zero. To you. My commission fee is paid by the Serbian dev companies I partner with. You pay the developer's rate. Nothing else. No finder's fee. No markup. No "placement charge" that mysteriously appears in month three. I turn down more clients than I take. If you treat developers as "resources," we won't get along. If you want bodies to fill seats, I'm not your person. If you want a relationship with a team that understands your codebase, your business logic, your 2am panic - DM me and I'll send you the details. One relationship at a time. Recently, I spoke at the System Verification QA Summit in Sarajevo about how we’re using AI tools at Reeinvent to speed up software development and create quick client prototypes. ⚠️ Even in a fast-paced industry, AI is accelerating things further. ✅ 🚀 Since last year, we’ve adopted AI-powered code assistants. Tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT (but many others, too) let us cut routine work. ⚠️ What once used to take days can now be done by a developer in hours. (in some cases, ofc) 🖐 Still, I don’t see developers disappearing soon: AI handles boilerplate and repetition, but human creativity, experience, and understanding of client needs remain essential. 👉 People often say, “The best of AI is yet to come,” and I agree. As models improve, AI may soon grasp project goals, suggest architecture, and adapt on the fly. It will be both interesting and challenging to stay on top of the change as we go. 🚨 Of course, this brings other challenges also: trusting AI suggestions, updating processes, and adjusting timelines. At Reeinvent, we’ve held workshops, created simple “AI playbooks,” and shared learnings so our developers stay comfortable and balanced between speed and quality. 🤝 Looking ahead, success will come from AI and developers working together. 👉 Instead of fearing job loss, we should embrace new roles: guiding AI, validating outputs, and shaping features with AI insights. #aiassistants #aitransformation #softwaredevelopment #cursor #copilot

In our recent interview with Ziarul Financiar, we spoke about the current dynamics we’re seeing in Romania’s software development market. While the need for digital transformation, process optimization, and software innovation remains strong, many companies have shown more caution in launching large-scale projects due to the local economic context. At Control F5 Software, we continue to move forward with clarity and confidence, focusing on sustainable growth and long-term partnerships. We currently work with around 20 Romanian clients, and our goals for 2025 are ambitious yet grounded: ➡️ reaching €1M in annual revenue, ➡️ strengthening our presence in the Netherlands, ➡️ and expanding into new markets such as Turkey and/or the UAE. A topic came up recently while speaking with the CEO of a software development company in Albania: How clearly do we set expectations with the people working with us? This is what I mean by expectations: 1. Performance expectations 2. Financial expectations 3. Career expectations As employers, we can, and should, do much better at creating as much clarity as possible. Clarity on what we expect from the people working with us, and clarity on what they should expect from us as employers. Most of the frustration we see in the workplace comes from a lack of clarity. 1. People don’t know what’s expected of them. 2. People don’t know how they can grow in their career. 3. People don’t know what it takes to get a salary increase. It’s okay for us, as employers, to not have all the answers. But we should always strive to be transparent to the best of our abilities. I truly believe that more transparency and clearer expectations will lead to a healthier, more balanced job market overall. Ps : What are your thoughts on this?
