One question I often get while building SVECTOR and managing 10+ projects: "How do you manage your studies while building a company and working on so many projects?" Here's the honest answer: I genuinely believe in what I'm building. And that belief keeps me going. SVECTOR isn't a job to me — it's a vision I deeply care about. I'm doing this because I truly love creating, solving, and learning every single day. I respect education. Degrees have their place. But for me, knowledge and curiosity have always come first. I'd rather spend 5 hours understanding one concept deeply than chase grades I'll forget tomorrow. So how do I manage multiple projects? I start every day with the highest priority task. I follow one simple rule: If you truly believe in something — whether it's a company, a project, or your learning — you'll find the discipline to stay with it. Not every day is smooth. Some days feel overwhelming. But when you love what you're doing and you truly believe in what you do. You just show up.

A $1,700 task turned into a 6-month, 2-engineer engagement. Here is how it actually worked. An Austrian SaaS company sent us a small dev task. $1,700. We delivered. They came back with another one. Then they needed engineering capacity. We placed the first engineer within a month. A second one joined in under two weeks. He was already on our roster, already proven on production projects. For six months, both engineers built core infrastructure and the mobile side of the product. Two developers, under EUR 10,000 per month total. Now do the math on hiring locally in Austria. Two full-time senior engineers at EUR 70,000-85,000 each. Add 30% employer taxes and social contributions. That is EUR 180,000-220,000 per year before you even start looking. Plus EUR 15,000-20,000 in recruiter fees per hire. Plus 3-4 months of interviewing. And if the hire does not work out? In Austria, terminating an employee is slow, expensive, and legally complex. You are looking at notice periods, severance, and months of underperformance before you can even start over. With us, if something is not working, we replace the engineer. No termination process. No severance. No legal risk. Here is the part most outstaffing companies do not talk about. When there were delays or technical blockers, I stepped in personally and solved them. When the client had uncomfortable questions about timelines or quality, they talked to me, not the developers. I asked the client constantly whether they were happy with the work. Vacations, sick days, health issues that came up. I covered all of that from my own margins. The client never had to manage HR for engineers they did not employ. They just got the output. No employer taxes. No social contributions. No equipment costs. One invoice per month to a service provider. Clean and simple. Both sides were happy with the collaboration. Most startups do not fail because the idea was bad. They fail because they solved the wrong problem I think a lot of startup advice romanticizes vision and underestimates pain. People love big ideas, futuristic language, and market size slides, but customers do not buy ideas. They buy relief. The startups that break through are usually the ones that identify a painful, expensive, recurring problem and solve it in a way that feels obvious in hindsight. That is why some of the best businesses do not look glamorous at first. They improve workflows, reduce friction, save time, or help people make money faster. If I were building something today, I would spend less time trying to sound innovative and more time asking better questions: What is frustrating people every week? What are they already paying for badly? What do they complain about but still tolerate? Great startups are often less about inventing demand and more about understanding human behavior deeply enough to serve it better than anyone else.

Any software can be copied today but not every advantage. “How is this different from an agent someone already wrote?” Almost every software founder hears this now. It’s a fair question. It has an answer. The question is whether it’s the right one for you. Today, almost any product can be built with a coding agent. Claude, Lovable, Figma Make, Google Studio - pick your tool and you can spin up a Wix, Monday, Gong, or Salesforce-like product, tailored and cheap. Or can you really? AI will enter everything. But the real question is who it helps vs. who it replaces. At ship fast mode, AI produces “good enough.” or simply half assed. Decent apps, acceptable websites, mediocre content, endless emails other agents filter out, polished summaries, superficial research. Useful. Efficient. Replaceable. When quality actually matters, the equation changes. Nobody wants to be operated on when the AI surgeon hallucinates. But you don't need to go that far. Imagine trying to sell into a large enterprise. Is it enough to wire an agent to Apollo, ZoomInfo, documents, and the web? For general context, probably yes. For understanding how to actually break into Boeing? No. One needs to understand how agents actuallyy work. An agent using LLMs optimizes for what’s available now, cheap to fetch, and easy to assemble into something that sounds reasonable. Dedicated software builds something else entirely: accumulated understanding, mapped relationships, product-to-unit relevance, competitor presence, and signals that lead to action. These are not the same thing. A nice agent looks good and doesn’t move revenue. Deep, purpose-built intelligence creates real advantage. So how do you choose? It comes down to two things: the cost of being wrong, and the value of being right. A generic email to a stranger isn’t risky. Reaching the right buyer at the right moment can change your company. Skimming a contract is low stakes. Judgment where outcomes matter is not. The rule is simple: When you just need to save time and get a general gist? An Agent is fine. When the stakes are high and quality matters, don’t rely on one.

The API connection to our existing iOS and Android app? That's where I brought in our engineer. We collaborated in the same Lovable project. No handoffs, no "waiting for the dev". Just building together. The question isn't "can I build this?" It's "which 20% do I actually need help with?" Most founders overestimate that number.

Sometimes the best addition to your app is subtraction! We finally retired Reviewer3's interactive canvas. Got rid of 7,000+ lines of code and made a bunch of other simplifications. We had some very honest feedback from our users. One called the interface "horrible", another asked why we put the reviews on a map if "there's nothing to map." 😂 Today, we gutted it in favor of a more intuitive layout: - Reviewer agents listed on the left - Click any reviewer to see their feedback items or progress - Each feedback item links directly to the submitted paper on the right If you created a session before today, you'll see it with the new interface going forward.

I pay attention to what developers do, not just what they say. Recently, three established developers quietly adjusting their payment plans without any fanfare or announcements. No press releases. No marketing campaigns. Just subtle shifts in their financing structures. One moved from 70/30 to 60/40 payment splits. Another extended their post-handover payment timeline by 12 months. A third introduced more flexible milestone adjustments. These aren't desperate moves — these are strategic adaptations. When established developers adjust their payment structures, they're responding to real market feedback, not headlines or sentiment surveys. They're seeing: → How long qualified buyers actually need to secure financing → Which payment structures close deals vs. which ones stall → What their sales teams are reporting from actual conversations Smart developers continuously fine-tune their approach based on what's actually working in buyer meetings. When payment plans get more flexible = they're prioritizing deal flow over cash acceleration When completion timelines extend = they're managing delivery expectations more conservatively When milestone structures change = they're responding to actual buyer feedback, not market theory These adjustments cost them something — either cash flow timing, financing costs or operational complexity But they do it because deal flow matters more than perfect payment terms The developers who adapt quietly tend to maintain sales velocity while others slow down While others focus on headlines, I focus on the operational decisions that shape real outcomes

I delayed a client launch by 2 weeks because the React folder structure "wasn't clean enough." My co-founder Om Barot and I lost that client. It was the best lesson we ever learned as founders. Back in late 2023, I was deep in developer perfectionist mode. Obsessing over clean abstractions, perfect folder structures, DRY principles. My co-founder was pushing: "We need to ship this. Now." I kept saying: "Just one more refactor. The architecture needs to be right." We were both wrong in different ways. I was too focused on perfection. My co-founder was right about speed, but we both missed the real lesson: Different parts of the codebase need different standards. That failure forced us to build a system together. At Meta Motives now, here's the 80/20 rule we both agreed on: Core Infrastructure (Auth, Payments, Security) My perfectionist side? It goes 100% here. Clean, tested, locked down. Zero shortcuts. My co-founder holds me accountable to actually shipping this part. UI and Features My co-founder's speed obsession? It shines here. Ship it fast. Use the library. Make it work. I handle the refactoring later based on real user data. We balance each other out now. Here's the thing about technical debt: It's not evil. It's like taking out a loan to move faster. You just have to make sure you pay it back later. The Reality We Both Had to Learn is that "Code that never ships has zero value". Perfect code that launches three months late loses to messy code that ships today and gets better tomorrow.
