    When you connect to a datastore like Salesforce or HubSpot, you’re often met with a highly normalized schema: hundreds of columns, scattered across dozens of tables. It’s overwhelming, and just figuring out where to start can be a real barrier. Our team has spent countless hours helping customers cut through that complexity, guiding them to the right columns, showing how to join across tables, and building useful reports. This release turns all of that learning into product. Now, when you pull in something like the Salesforce Opportunities object, you won’t be blasted with every possible column. Instead, you’ll see a curated set of what really matters. We’ll also automatically bring in key fields from related tables, alias them clearly, and make adding additional relationships a one-click experience. You can build sophisticated joins without ever needing to know what a join is. It’s an iceberg feature: most people will never notice the complexity beneath the surface, because it just works - it just gives you the most useful information you’d expect. But behind the scenes, it represents deep thinking from across the team at Equals and a foundation we’re excited to extend to other datastores soon.     Getting clear visibility into how your product is being used — across customers and your own team — can be surprisingly hard. At Quanta, we’re building the future of accounting, and part of that is deeply understanding how our own product is delivering value. We partnered with the team at Equals to stand up fast, flexible reporting on top of our internal product data. In just a few weeks, they helped us: 1️⃣ Build reporting that shows how different customers are using our product 2️⃣ Track activity across our internal teams to better understand adoption and workflows 3️⃣ Set up daily dashboards so we can stay on top of trends as they happen And implemented everything for us, end to end!!     I still remember the day I was scrolling through my LinkedIn feed and came across a video of Bobby Pinero building a dashboard in just a few minutes. He was walking through how this spreadsheet-native environment allowed him to move incredibly fast, pulling in data, visualizing it, and building dashboards all within a familiar interface. I was immediately intrigued. At 4M, one of our biggest challenges was presenting real-time, online data in a centralized and contextual way, data that could be shared internally with management or externally with investors. At the time, I was also running ad-hoc analyses across multiple tools like spreadsheets, Salesforce, and NetSuite every time I wanted to dig into metrics. I often felt stuck. Tools like Tableau had a steep learning curve, and I constantly had to rely on a BI teammate just to build or modify dashboards. And of course, every time we reviewed the data, more questions would arise, questions that required another round of BI support to investigate. Equals completely changed how I work.     ARR reporting at an early stage company is deceptively hard... The manual approach works… right up until your business gets interesting. For the first 2 years at Pocus, we tracked ARR with a spreadsheet and HubSpot – initially it worked great. Simple setup, fast answers. But then deal velocity accelerated... And we added multiple seat types, services, time periods, and billing structures… And all of the sudden seemingly simple analyses (i.e. revenue by seat type) were not possible without spending hours reconciling data. I’d already been using Equals as my go-to analytics tool, so naturally I turned to them as the experts in ARR reporting. In just a couple of days, they were able to build a fully automated ARR data model, including dashboards that updated automatically. It was a huge unlock. And the best part is because Equals is just a spreadsheet - there was no learning curve. I could own and build on top of their foundation immediately. If you’re still stitching together revenue manually – or manually copying data from SQL exports into a spreadsheet for analysis  – check them out! It's the spreadsheet I always dreamed of 😂.     One of the first things Brenden Song and I did after joining Expo was bring in Equals. We needed a real pulse on the business. What was working, where there were leaks in the funnel, and how fast we were growing. Stripe, usage data, CRM. The basics, but joined up and right. Before we could scale, we had to align on what mattered. We phased our dashboarding across board metrics, marketing, revenue, and product usage. That foundation let every team work from the same set of numbers and understand how their work contributed to growth. It also forced the hard conversations early — what do we believe drives value, and how are we tracking it? We looked at a few traditional BI tools, but the investment and ongoing maintenance felt heavy for where we were as a company. We needed something that could give us answers fast. #Equals had live dashboards up within hours.
