Nickelodeon and THQ today announced that they have struck an agreement to develop and publish videogames using the Rugrats license through December 2002. The deal gives THQ exclusive rights to Rugrats for all current and future systems from Nintendo, Sony and Sega.

Incidentally, Rugrats is the highest rating children's TV program in the US.

Under the agreement, in 1999 THQ intends to publish a '3D-Interactive Boardgame' title for N64, Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt. The game is set to feature all the major Rugrats characters, five playable and eleven non-playable, and will be similar in style to Nintendo's recent release Mario Party.
