Portuguese Ambassador visits ICFP
On Saturday, 13 May 2023 the Portuguese Ambassador, Senhora Manuela Bairos visited the Institute and officially opened a special Portuguese festival. She was welcomed with a cultural dance presentation by the students and the offering of a tais, a symbol of friendship by Br Paul.
During this year the Portuguese embassy has been promoting the learning of Portuguese, one of Timor-Leste’s official languages, and this gathering was a special opportunity to showcase the students’ talents.

ENVIRONMENTAL GREENING AND WATER PROTECTION
As Timorese everyone has the obligation to protect the environment to sustain the future based on the Constitution of the Republic Democratic of Timor-Leste article 61. For this reason, the students’ senate of Instituto Católico Para a Fromação de Professores (ICFP) Baucau established the program “Environmental Greening and Water Protection”. Related to this program realized an activity of “planting trees” in Bela Vista, Builai Village, Suku Buibau Postu Administrativu Baucau Vila was implemented.

Mestra Edviges gave the instruction for the tutorial activity about PREPARING ESSENTIALS COMPONENTS FOR CLASSROOM BASED ON NATIONAL CURRICULUM 2014. Mestra Joaquina & Mestra Edviges divided materials for 10 groups. Each group had a flip chart, paper A4, color, board marker, scissors, sticky tape and box.
2023 ICFP Graduation
On Saturday, 11th March 2023, the Instituto Católico Para a Formaҫão de Professores (ICFP), Baucau, Timor-Leste, held its 17th Graduation ceremony in the presence of Rev. Padre Alipio Pinto Gusmão, Br. Greg McDonald, Br. Peter Carroll, Br. Peter Corr, Senor Luis Alacio Guterres, Dr. Longuinhos dos Santos, Senora Maria Imaculada Conceiҫão, and Dr. Nilton Pavia, Executive Director. Sixty six students were awarded the Bachelor of Teaching (3 years) and fifty nine students received the Bachelor of Education (Licentiate – 4 years).

AHDMTL is an association founded by disabled people themselves. It aims to bring people with visual impairments and to support the rights of people with visual impairments. They work to advocate for governments, institutions and communities related to people with disabilities, especially visual impairments.
