Houston’s 2025 crawfish season looks promising, according to caterers, experts

Posted on January 10, 2025 · According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Louisiana produces around 100 to 120 million pounds of crawfish per year. In comparison, Texas produces about 7.2 million pounds per year, according to a 2022 report from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
