The Morgan State University Foundation, Inc.
The Morgan State University Foundation, Inc. (MSUF) is a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Foundation was established in 1971 to provide financial support and counsel for Morgan State University, a public higher educational institution within the State University System of Maryland. The Foundation is governed by the Foundation Board of Directors.
The Foundation exists solely for the purpose of promoting the growth, progress, and general welfare of Morgan State University. The MSUF administers private donations in support of academic programs, student scholarships, faculty development, public service initiatives, and other priorities of Morgan State University. Gifts made through the Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent provided by law, and are governed in accordance with donor intentions.

Alum’s $2-Million Gift Establishes Vianna Briscoe and Timothy Weldon Endowed Scholarship at Morgan
A transformational $2 million gift from alumna Vianna Briscoe ’69 is opening doors for future generations of Morgan students. Established in honor of her late husband, Timothy Weldon ’70, the new endowed scholarship fund will expand access to higher education and support students pursuing studies in STEM and entrepreneurship—creating a lasting legacy of opportunity, innovation, and Morgan pride.

Morgan to Add Men’s and Women’s Golf, Expanding Athletic Program Offerings
Morgan State University’s Athletics Department seeks to expand its athletic program offerings and create more opportunities for student-athletes with the addition of men’s and women’s golf as its 17th and 18th NCAA varsity sports. Both teams will compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), with competition slated to begin in 2027-28.
