So for this silly blue and yellow creature there is a potentially rather big change on the horizon coming up next month. For the last 18 years or so I have been a full shift worker either working a 9 or 10 day week with start times that could range from 6am to 10pm, resulting in a complete lack of routine due to my work times and days off never landing on the same day each week which caused a right mountain of pain trying to get regular activities like clubs and games sorted... no longer!

Well I say no longer, it is only a 3 month trial but I am hoping it will be made permanent, I am adjusting my 10 day rotation for a 7 day one (^. .^) Although I will still be starting work at silly o'clock and waking up before the sun does on some shifts, and working through the night until the sun starts to rise on others, I will for the first time in a loooooong time have the same work and rest days week in and week out!

I am very excited for this and the benefits it might bring to my work life balance as well as getting a more healthy routine for both Karyn and myself. This might make it a little easier to track down when I might be around responding to messages posting, chatting on discord, hanging out in VR or maybe even streaming again (flipping missed streaming, sorry I have been on such a long break from it).

It will properly take me a short while to adapt to this new pattern, and again it is a trial so subject to change and my employer accepting the pattern if I apply for it full time, however I am optimistic. Still going to be a full time worker but I should be a little more predictable in the very least after a month or so, so hopefully will see more regular updates from me along with a return to streaming with any luck.
