A former Editor-in-Chief of the Bulgarian edition of Foreign Policy, he is a board member of the European Council on Foreign Relations, the Open Society Foundation, and the International Crisis Group. His latest book, co-authored with Stephen Holmes, is The Light That Failed: Why the West Is Losing the Fight for Democracy.
