The Solar System is a location mentioned throughout the Fallout Series.
Background[edit]
The location is seen on the Framed Galaxy Map. Vice President Daniel Bird states that he has "long thought that it's time for the human race to enter the solar system."[1] Olympus Mons, a volcano on Mars, is the largest in the Solar System.[2] Captain Space Galaxy travels the Solar System in the children's program Zany Planet Show program.[3]
The Tour Guide at REPCONN Headquarters states that RobCo purchased REPCONN in late 2076 to develop unmanned rockets to explore the Solar System.[4][5] The Solar System model is an attraction of the Copernicus Planetarium in the Museum of Technology and is featured in Captain Space Galaxy's Zany Planet Show.
REPCONN HQ Transcript[edit]
A model of our solar system (not actual size). Beautiful, isn't it? RobCo, with its subsidiary REPCONN, has often gazed into the night sky, seeing the rich pageant of stars and planets above us. Our goal? To send unmanned rockets to these other systems, seeing their beauty firsthand while mining ever deeper into each planet's surface for precious resources needed here at home. This is our promise to mankind, extending our reach into a future where the number of RobCo and REPCONN rockets match the stars in the sky.
