Gunner Commander is a Gunners variant in Fallout 4.[1] They also appear in Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.
Gameplay[edit]
Gunner Commanders are a mid-level Gunner variant, being higher than Sergeant but lower than Captain. They share an equal level with Lieutenants. Gunner Commanders are the lowest level of generic boss for the Gunners. They are unique for being the only regularly encountered variant to use Power Armor, always wearing a set of T-45 Power Armor without a helmet if so, although not all Gunner Commanders wear power armor.

Notes[edit]
- One unique Gunner Commander at Gunners Plaza will have the Prototype Gauss rifle for The Prototype quest.
- One unique Gunner Commander with Gunner painted T-60 Power Armor is involved in the War Paint quest, and will have to be defeated at Quincy Ruins alongside other Gunners, including the named bosses Clint,Baker, and Tessa if you have not previously cleared Quincy.
- One Gunner Commander in South Boston Military Checkpoint will have generic NPC dialogue instead of Gunner-specific dialogue. Uniquely, this location also has two Gunner Commanders, which may be related to the quest Can You See Me Now?.
- Gunner Commanders often replace named bosses if they are killed. One example is Clint in Quincy.
