Uber classic material. These recordings changed and enriched the lives of many, many people. The sounds are so otherworldly to Western listeners and the musical proficiency is absolutely outstanding. This is fresh as coconut juice on a hot Indian day.

I'm pretty sure that there was a release in the early 2000's, which is when i picked up a Mint version. I've sold it long ago so i cannot give any further details.

Highlights of some of the opera's the duo recorded together for EMI in the fifties. An excellent set of recordings you will likely find in a thrift store and which is worth every one of the few pennies you will pay for it. Doesn't get more classic than this.

While listening to this tune after more than a decade, it struck me how much it has the same sound that later Basic Channel had in its more house oriented tracks as Q 1.1 and Quadrant dub. A very groovy record!
