Original pressings should also note the red flag held by Skip Spence (aka its infact a partially furled USA flag) is later airbrushed black, Columbia's response to the political climate during its initial release.

A Hard Days Night (UK lp) but dropping the tracks released on the 45 rpm single: Can't But Me Love - You Can't Do That, and inserting Long Tall Sally as side 2 opening. cool.

If you view is as a reissue of the original album well that's not quite correct :
side A
tracks 1 to 4 - as the original album
5 teenage doll - missing
6 if you can't rock me - becomes side 1 track 5
AXIS track 6 - Hello Mary Lou - Rick Is 21... See full review

This uses the USA original track list. It does not use the corresponding UK London Records track list (which add 1 track to each side of their issue)

I didn't like it, just sounded too fake. i know its a retrospective of his Sun Records output which he was only with it during the 70s so it did sound 'modern' back then but his vocals just didn't sell it for me. Oh well whatever your tastes.

It should be noted that cassette side 2 "Edited Version" is not edited at all but its a censored version of the whole album with Bleeps over all the rude words, comments, phrases etc

funny how the Australia 1988 remastered issue still used the 1964 Australian designed cover art and not finally issue the original UK gatefold concept.
The Beatles - The Beatles

Red case and slim tape viewing slot would make this the second mid to late 70s issue. The original had paper labels.

A shame that all CD reissues forget to include the original inner sleeve plus the fold out lyrics sheet (you only get the lyrics not but not the graphics) in
favour of unseen photos.

there are 2 pressings, the first as mentioned with the early fades then a repressing with those faults rectified.
The CD remained in print for less than two years and, according to Abba: The Worldwide Charts Lists, sold just 5,786 copies during that time.

This was first released in May 1986, and the Steve Hoffman chat says an repressing (date no mentioned but probably 1989) with the fades fixed was also issued.

There are 2 pressings of this the Australian abba fanclub site dates this as May 1986 so maybe the corrected pressing fixing the fades is dated 1989.
