Comparing Sultans of Swing on this to the '78 Jacksonville pressing on my system shows the two are very close. The OG I think has more lower mid range emphasis, exhibiting itself in Mark's voice and some of the lower guitar parts. This one might have... See full review

I don’t have any of the distortion issues mentioned by the user below. I would classify this as a good, not great pressing. There’s decent clarity, good low end. But I think this is a bit overly compressed. I don’t have another pressing to compare... See full review

Just listening to it for the first time. It does sound great, but agree that I wish the low end was a little boosted in the mix.

Yeah man this is one of the best sounding rock records I have on vinyl. Really really well done. Spacious, airy, punch, dynamic as hell. Maybe the bass guitar could be slightly more defined but that’s probably just the way it was recorded.

Highly... See full review

Fantastic sounding pressing. This is a midrange beast—Nick’s voice sounds almost holographic. The whole time I listened I thought I was listening with a tube system (mine is purely solid state). Overall I’d describe this as warm and inviting. Makes... See full review

My pressing is flawless. No issues with the gatefold. I’m new to this album, but I don’t know what some of the negative reviews are about…this is a nice sounding record. And it is bright (not overly so). For those who want this to be brighter like the... See full review

Nice pressing. They really did a good job: split the music on two records, the records are pretty flat and quiet, records come in polylined sleeves, and the packaging is nice. Sound quality is good; I compared to to Hi Res version on Qobuz and this... See full review

Bought mine from DeepDiscount (which I believe is related to Pop Market) in Jan 2024. So they are still out there and sound great!

This does sound quite good and will echo the other comments here. Not sure how much better the 45 RPM AP sounds, but it can’t be that much better. If someone has both, a comparison would be cool.

Sound is clear and instrument separation is really nice. Overall good pressing and happy to have it in my collection. However, out of the three audiophile Bill Withers albums I have ("Just As I Am," Speakers corner and "+'Justments," Vinyl Me... See full review

This is one of the best sounding records in my collection. The warmth and reverb are out of this world!

I have to concur with this reviewer. Dynamics, slam, and bass are simply not here. Unfortunately, figured it the hard way after paying quite a bit for a copy shipped from Japan. EDIT: I’m much happier with the German OG. More punch and bass.

Have this and the MOFI (one step). This sounds better to my ears—less clinical and warmer (while still having a lot of detail).

Overall, great sounding record. Vinyl color is quite nice. My critique on SQ is that the high end is overly extended, which robs it from having a warm sound which was typical of the original Elton John DJM pressings. There are also some pops and... See full review

Overall this sounds great to me, with a few exceptions. One of the exceptions is distortion in the vocals on a few tracks--notably Little Lamb Dragonfly and Lazy Dynamite. It is not bass shy, but extra emphasis on the bass would not be a bad thing. ... See full review

Happy with the quality of this pressing. Thought some of these tracks on streaming services had some harshness in the high frequencies—the vinyl seems to resolve that issue. Great music!

Fantastic album. Did a comparison to the hi-res version on Qobuz and they sound practically identical. Pressing is great save for some crackles that are audible during silent passages, but not too loud. Mine came flat with a few visible marks that do... See full review

I have to agree with the point you make about it becoming overly bright at times. This shows particularly when Wakeman's organ comes in after the ambient/vocal breakdown in the title track. Seems like there is some distortion in the recording; it... See full review

Sounds a bit harsh at times--especially with highs like in the guitar and sometimes the keys. Sometimes Jimi's voice distorts. I wonder if this was baked into the recording or if this pressing is inferior to the 2010s (and the 2015). My Axis, for... See full review

Just to expand on the great aspect of the record: the bass hits hard, a lot of clarity and instrument separation, acoustic guitar parts sound amazing and the reverb is outstanding.

Overall great sound, but the highs can be a bit much at times. There appears to be some distortion which is on the vocals, keys, and sometimes guitar that pop up at times (namely South Side of the Sky). Anyone experience the same? It could just be the... See full review
