I agree with the poor pressing quality. Thankfully my disc is flat, but this is easily the noisiest brand new record I've ever bought.

Interesting. There has been mostly silence about this release from both Parting Gift and Take This to Heart for months, meanwhile they've released a couple things since that have shipped.

I got number 58.
I haven't listened yet but visually I'm a bit disappointed. There's plenty of scuffing (mostly visible on side A) and the edge isn't cut perfectly. I've got plenty of records pressed at RTI, even some others using the "super vinyl"... See full review |

That's if the tapes still exist -- the band were on the list of artists who's stuff was destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire. Nothing was specifically listed, but Dreamworks was sold to UMG in 2003 so it's a sad possibility.

Sounds great to me! I don't see how the more expensive original or upcoming grey colored Revolver reissue could sound any better, especially only on one disc.

On my copy there's some kind of milky substance ONLY on that track. I know the song is supposed to have surface noise, but whatever this is makes it sound terrible and I can't clean it away. I really hope that it wasn't a deliberate decision by the label

I don't own the 2010, but it's almost 100% the same mastering, just pressed at Memphis instead of Rainbo (hence the runout changes)

Lives up to the precedent set with the DiH reissue last year, and it gets me excited for hopeful reissues of Electra 2000 and You'd Prefer An Astronaut
