It's pretty good. Some surface noise, definitely needs cleaning before play. Mix is lively, maybe a tad bright. Played mine on a Technics SL-D1 with a micro line stylus through a Yaquin tube preamp.

I prefer this vinyl pressing to my Quiex copy. Less noisy. Carrollton was a pretty good pressing plant. Seek them out for Sony CBS artists, especially 80s albums. Like the Rolling Stones.

These are 100% legit copies from 1988. Some may be white marbled on both discs. I had a copy with one solid white and one marbled. Legit copies have a letter D in runouts and no Chinese markings. Counterfeits will have The Beatles in grey on the front...

This CD does NOT have an SACD layer, regardless of the DSD information in the booklet. This is the most recent version on CD still in print as of 2022. Be aware of what you are buying on big box websites like Amazon.

How's the sound? 25 minutes or so a side? Joe can't use Rainbo to cheaply press stuff anymore (while asking a premium price), so who pressed the Missing Links series for him?

Hopefully they do better than Rainbo to press the next reissue. They're out of business but there's still MRP and GZ to get it wrong.

There is a reissue coming out tomorrow the 29th of May from Rhino. Are they any better than a US original though? Those are easy to come by for cheap and sound good.

It could be a needle drop of an original vinyl issue. If so, it's definitely worth taking a chance on, if it's around 30 dollars US, IMO. Cut from CD or digital would definitely be a waste.

How does this vinyl issue sound? Originals are pricy and it looks like flippers in Japan are ending up with them. Hopefully this isn't an issue for too much longer and we see a decent vinyl reissue, MOV or Rhino.

Its the standard US artwork that has always been on each release of the compilation. Looks like Optimal pressed these. Vinyl quality should be good.

The Budget Line reissues from the early 80s on LP and cassette omitted the song "Caught In The Crossfire."
