Couldn’t agree more. For me the best of Shake’s work was the laid back less club orientated material and this is perhaps why it never garnered the attention it deserves. I’m not sure the focus on Berlin had any effect. At the time a lot of this stuff...

It sounds great to me. I have Omnsight as well and both sound great. Nice interviews with Hosono accompany each too.

Amazing 12” from a great label. Takes you on a mind trip through the jungles and temples of S. E. Asia, very evocative.

it's blocked because they are removing all bootlegs and unofficial releases. Probably due to pressure from big labels.

Fair enough, it was just my personal opinion. I like a bit of 'cheese', i guess everybody has their own cheese threshold.

Yeah, I appreciate it's from 1988 but it's not aged well for me aside from Island Sunrise. Just a mater of personal taste, would be boring if everybody liked the same thing.

Only really 1 standout track on this for me, Island Sunrise. Too much cheesy sax/guitar in the rest IMO and sounds dated.

Not bad, just unimaginative plodding 4/4 techno floor filler - no real hi-tech funk to be found here.

Of course the music is amazing but the press of this record is disappointing. Nothing wrong with the sound quality but surely it deserved 180gm quality vinyl and not a thin flimsy bit of vinyl. Again whilst the sleeve and obi are beautiful the quality...

Burn the Witch isn't that great IMO but it's all about the B side which is and doesn't feature on the album still it's not worth the £40 being quoted here.

Ridiculous prices for an average compilation. The pressing/sound quality on this is not particularly great either.

Completely and utterly agree. After a while I gave up listening to what they were doing. Most of what they did for about 10 years was amazing though and seeing them play the millennium was stunning.

I've had this since it came out but always gone straight for the B-Side, My Medusa and Vertigo. It was a good 10 years after I purchased it that I realised how mind blowing and original All For Lee-Sah was.
