Kind of a cool/fun fact, this pressing was pressed in the same pressing plant, possibly even in the same room using the same machines as the original 1966-67 pressings

Great fidelity for an early stereo mix. Pretty balanced, and usually I hate stereo mixes of just vocals/guitars. Absolutely an essential album for any folk collection!

This and Getz/Gilberto from the same series are absolutely essential pressings of these albums. G/G suffers from some unfortunate drop-outs, but the tape for this album must be in better shape because I didn’t notice drop-outs here. Just sounds like...

Another Sundazed hype sticker over-selling the music. Still some pretty good garage rock. I dig the harmonica and organ sprinkled in. Quite a variety of genres represented from folk rock to almost blue eyed soul. The gritty mono mix suits the style....

I had the same issue with A1 being scratched. What a disappointment. Then to send it back and take a gamble that you won't end up with a new issue with one of the other albums in the box.

Really crappy pressing quality so far. I'm on my second copy and it has to go back too. First non-fill and warping, now a scratch across A1 on Way Out West. Both of my boxes have had splits on the corners of Contemporary Leaders as well. Not at all...

This is fake stereo unfortunately, for those interested. Not sure you can get a mono mix of this on LP besides the early pressings.

Mine is so warped it's unplayable. Very disappointed and do not recommend.

Unfortunately this pressing is prone to groove wear because it's cut so hot and 70s turntables could not handle it. Be aware you may go through several copies before getting a keeper. I'm on my 4th one. When it isn't playing with distortion though it's killer.

Pre 1972, I'm guessing around 1970. In 1972 the credits mentioned Warhol again like the 1968 pressings.
