Chichester High School Students Thrive with Best-Ever GCSE Results Students and staff at Chichester High School are celebrating an unprecedented achievement today as students received the highest GCSE results in the school’s history. Following months of dedication, hard work, and resilience, the Class of 2026 has much to be proud of with significant increases in students’ grades including the top-tier grades (9-7) and students achieving strong pass grades (9-5). Record breaking passes were also achieved in many subjects including English, Mathematics, and the Sciences. A record number of individual students secured grades 7, 8 and 9 across many of their subjects including Denise Altobar, Bob Fender, Ross Geroy, Ninia Kikvadze, Darcey Knowles, Bailey Murrant, Lauren Solliss, Lukasz Sulinski, Kathryn Toms, Lucy Turner and Scarlett Wawrzewski. Co-Headteachers Naomi Lewry and Nicholas Taylor expressed deep pride in the students’ extraordinary performance saying “These historic results reflect the incredible work ethic, determination, and character of our students, alongside the relentless commitment of our teaching and support staff. To secure the best GCSE results Chichester High School has ever seen is a phenomenal achievement. We could not be prouder of every single student today, as they secure their first-choice destinations for post-16 education. We thank their families for their ongoing support as we look forward to welcoming them, in addition to a record number of external students from local schools into our Sixth Form in September.” For more information about A-level and vocational courses at Chichester High School or admissions for the upcoming academic year, please visit www.chichesterhigh-kemnal.org or contact the school office. #WeTHRIVEatCHS #gcseresults #classof2026 #KemnalSchools @tkatacademies - The Kemnal Academies Trust

Former student @peterruddick making headlines It’s always a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of our former students, especially when we spot a familiar face on our TV screens. Former Chichester High School for Boys student Peter Ruddick has built an impressive career in journalism. He is a reporter for @bbc5live and is also a familiar face to early morning viewers, presenting the business news on @bbcbreakfast From reporting on major national stories to keeping viewers up to date with the latest business news, Peter’s career is a fantastic example of where hard work, determination and a passion for communication can lead. We are incredibly proud to see former students achieving success in their chosen careers. It always brings a smile when you realise someone you once walked the same school corridors as is now appearing on national television. Congratulations, Peter, on everything you have achieved. We look forward to following your continued success. #wethriveatchs

Mr McArthur and Mrs Peirce took students on a fantastic Rewards Trip to the @officialbhafc Amex Stadium for a behind-the-scenes tour of the club. Students explored areas usually reserved for players and staff, including the home and away changing rooms, the press room, corporate hospitality boxes, and even had the opportunity to sit in the Chairman’s Box. They also experienced the players’ walk through the tunnel as Brighton’s anthem, Sussex by the Sea, played around the stadium. The visit was made even more special by the club’s connection to @chichesterhighsch Current Brighton & Hove Albion first-team player Jack Hinshelwood @jack_hinsh is a former CHS student, while former Brighton defender Adam Webster @adamwebster04 , another CHS alumnus, made more than 150 appearances for the Seagulls during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history before departing the club this summer. Their achievements continue to inspire our students. After the tour, the group enjoyed lunch in The Terrace, Brighton’s fan zone, before visiting the club shop. A huge thank you to our tour guide, Nigel, who shared fascinating insights into the club’s history and gave our students an engaging and memorable experience throughout the day. #WeTHRIVEatCHS @tkatacademies - The Kemnal Academies Trust #KemnalSchools

As the school year comes to an end, our Forest School sessions at @goodwoodeducationtrust have drawn to a close with a fantastic final day of games, burgers and hot chocolates topped with plenty of cream. It has been a wonderful year, with several groups of Year 8 students enjoying the opportunity to visit the farm, meet a variety of animals – from piglets and calves to the adult livestock – explore the automated milking parlour, and experience the beauty of the forest through the changing seasons. Favourite activities such as shelter building, eagle eye, wood carving and creating a range of woodland crafts were enjoyed by everyone. There was always plenty of excitement during the fire-lighting challenge, with students competing to get their fire going first before helping to prepare and cook food together. Throughout every session, our students have been a credit to the school. They worked hard, supported one another and approached every challenge with enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork. Well done to all of our Year 8 students. You should be incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and have set a high benchmark for next year’s Forest School participants. A huge thank you to Goodwood for providing such an incredible opportunity and for their continued support of our students throughout the year. #WeTHRIVEatCHS
