Or a flat 3% on paid plans. Prefer not to show the tip prompt to your donors? On any paid plan you can turn it off and pay a flat 3% platform fee on online transactions instead. It's entirely your call.

The math, in practice: on $100,000 in annual online donations, the tip model is $0 in platform fees; the 3% option is $3,000. On $250,000, that's $0 versus $7,500. The tip model is cheaper at every scale — the reason to switch to 3% is if you'd rather not show the optional tip to your donors.

Standard payment processing fees from Stripe or PayPal apply on every plan and are paid directly to them. Verified nonprofits can qualify for rates as low as 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction.

A contact is any donor or supporter record in your CRM. We keep contacts deliberately affordable — we'd rather you bring your whole donor history into CauseVox than ration it. If you approach your plan's limit, you can add extra contacts in blocks of 1,000 for $5/month, or move up to the next plan — whichever is the better fit. We'll never force an upgrade over a small overage.

Yes. Pick Starter or Pro at signup and you'll get a 14-day trial of that plan's full features. A card is required to start the trial, and your plan automatically begins billing when the trial ends — you can cancel or switch plans at any time before then. Prefer to skip the trial entirely? Sign up directly on Free at $0/month, no card required.
