Pentecost Sunday (May 24 this year) celebrates when the Holy Spirit came upon a gathering of the first Christians. Read about this amazing event in the Bible in the book of Acts, Chapter 2. The Holy Spirit arrived with “a sound like the rush of a violent wind,” and “divided tongues, as of fire” rested on them, and they were suddenly able to speak in other languages. The story predicates the astounding action of the Holy Spirit on the believers being all together in one place.
