“Colossal” (March 2026)!
Our students took on The Rookies Monthly Art Challenge: Colossal — a global competition that drew
117 entries from 51 schools across 29 countries. The theme challenged artists to create work that communicates overwhelming scale, contrast, and visual impact. Against this international field, CMC came out on top.

The Giant King in the Mist

This concept represents power and time. The giant king symbolizes authority and dominance, showing how powerful systems can feel overwhelming. However, the idea also suggests that power is not permanent. Over time, even the strongest forces begin to weaken.
Giants of the Sky

For this month’s COLOSSAL challenge, I imagined a world where enormous fish glide through the skies, dwarfing everything beneath them. Despite their immense size, the sky-fish are gentle and harmless, drifting peacefully through the sky while tiny human lives continue below in quiet wonder.

Creative Multimedia College students have earned three badges at The Rookies Monthly Art Challenge:
Reflections (April 2026) — competing against 159 entries from 33 schools across 20 countries.
Both Sunil Reddy and Vishnu Murthy reached the Finalist stage, with Sunil Reddy earning the additional
distinction of Highly Commended, awarded to the most celebrated entry in the challenge.

The project explores reflection not just as a physical surface, but as a connection between reality, memory, and inner strength. Set on a collapsing battlefield, the story follows a wounded warrior standing as the last of his kind.
