Bios are hard to write. I’d honestly rather be doing something else. ;) But here are a few things mine would probably include: Music is both my hobby and my job. I’m a musician, DJ, and producer. I’m an ex amateur skateboarder. I recently started my own imprint, On The Quiet Records, and back in the mid-2000s co-founded Discotexas / DTX with Moullinex. I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with artists I genuinely admire. Name dropping? Sure: WhoMadeWho, Rampa, AWEN, SKALA, Elif, Jan Blomqvist, Rodriguez Jr., Sinego, Lazarusman, Moullinex, Vaarwell, Gisela João, DJEFF, Joris Voorn, Adana Twins, Joplyn, Acid Pauli… I don’t take that for granted. On rare and special occasions, I play live with my band - my talented friends Meta_, Aram, and Vasco Cabeçadas. With them, everything shifts into a different sensory world. Not better, just different - and truly special. I’ve released music on On The Quiet, Discotexas, Anjunadeep, Cercle, Moblack, Armada, Deutsche Grammophon, TAU, Watergate, The Moment… I’ve made 3 albums, plenty of EPs, singles, remixes, and a few film soundtracks. Still no Grammy nomination :( I’m still deeply in love with punk and hardcore - their sound, their ethos. I was my University. A big part of who I am and where my inspiration comes from. I am a skeptical utopian. I have mild tinnitus. Please protect your hearing. I have no idea where I see myself in 10 years. I love my parents.
