From the mind of interstellar sonic traveler and diverse Artist BLANKE, ÆON:MODE is a side brand that explores the producer's interests in Drum & Bass. After 2 years of releasing the genre under the Blanke Moniker, and playing shows as Blanke Presents ÆON:MODE, Australian Born, Denver Colorado based Producer JP Orchison has decided to split things up and give ÆON:MODE a life of its own. While BLANKE’s catalog has focused on Dubstep, Mid-Tempo and Melodic Bass, ÆON:MODE find’s the producer thriving in a lane of Drum & Bass that calls to early age influence from acts like Pendulum and Sub Focus. 2 3 track EP’s dropped in 2022, ÆON:ONE & ÆON:TWO via Zed’s Dead’s Deadbeats imprint, with single ‘Polaris’ immediately picking up rotation on Australia’s triple j Radio Station. This is the first Drum & Bass focused Body of work from the producer, after previous singles Alchemy and Mystery also finding high success on the famed Australian station’s airwaves, peaking at #1 most played whilst crossing millions of streams on Spotify. The Blanke Presents ÆON:MODE live show debuted at 2021’s Rollin Festival in Brisbane, Australia, backed up by a tour of New Zealand in June of the same year. Arriving in North America in October 2021, an iconic performance at infamous renegade outfit Brownies & Lemonade’s Pop Up warehouse show in Los Angeles in October supporting Sub Focus made a serious impact on the local LA Drum & Bass scene. Kicking things up a notch in 2022 following the release of the EP’s, the ÆON:MODE show hit Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver as direct support for Zeds Dead, and made its festival Debut via Insomniac’s Project Z in Southern California the same weekend. A run of shows in support of Zed’s Dead through North America rounded out 2022, coupled with his own headline Tour as BLANKE, which saw him slide into ÆON:MODE as one of the support slots for each night. The start of 2023 saw the much anticipated release of the ÆON:MODE Remix of Ray Volpe’s Bass Anthem ‘Laserbeam’. The Remix has clocked over 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone in 6 months & saw support from the likes of Sub Focus (who put it in his Radio 1 Essential Mix), Chase & Status, Andy C, Dimension, Metrik and many more.
