Markino

Markino is an Italian DJ, producer, composer and founding member of the influential Italian new wave band Gaznevada. Active since the early 1980s, he moved from the underground post-punk scene into the rise of Italian house music during the 1990s, achieving international recognition through projects including DJH feat. Stefy. His productions reached both the US Billboard charts and the UK Top 40, helping establish his reputation within the global dance music scene. Since 2007, Markino has built a strong presence across Asia, performing as a resident and guest DJ in some of China’s leading clubs and venues. Alongside his international DJ career, he has continued to produce music and develop new projects while staying connected to the roots of electronic club culture. In recent years he reunited with Gaznevada for new releases and live performances, including appearances at iconic venues such as Berghain in Berlin. More than four decades after his first recordings, Markino remains active as a DJ, producer and performer, bridging the heritage of classic dance music with contemporary club sounds.
