Kulage

Kulage is a DJ duo formed in 2015 in Fukuoka, Japan by STANLLIE and BARBIE. Rooted in techno, their sound blends heavy basslines, intricate rhythms, and emotional melodies to create a deeply immersive groove that ignites dance floors and captivates audiences worldwide. Their dynamic performances have taken them across borders, with notable appearances in the UK, Croatia, Vietnam, and the Philippines—earning them international recognition and a devoted following. Since relocating to Tokyo in 2022, Kulage has become a fixture in the city’s vibrant club scene, playing at venues both large and intimate. They also run their own party, SECTION NINE, which takes over the 4th floor of WOMB TOKYO as part of the venue’s longest-running resident event, 06S. On the production front, Kulage has released high-quality tracks on the acclaimed techno label Tronic. One of their releases topped Beatport’s Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) Release Chart, while several others charted in the Techno (Peak Time) and Hard Techno categories. Their work has earned the support of renowned global DJs such as UMEK and Filterheadz, solidifying their reputation as influential and innovative artists in the global techno scene.
