DJ Yanks

Edgar Andrés Moreno Martínez was born on September 4, 1991, in the city of Santiago de Cali, Colombia. He spent most of his adolescence completing his primary, secondary, and higher education studies. His musical influences during childhood included Latin and urban rhythms such as salsa, cumbia, electronic, pop, and hip-hop. He began his career at the age of 20 when he joined the Mix Masters Dj Academy, where he graduated in 2010 and started his career as a DJ. He started playing at local parties, weddings, graduation parties, and nightclubs in the city, receiving a great response from the audience. In 2011, he appeared on various media platforms such as radio (RCNRADIO) and television (TELEPACÍFICO), gaining recognition at the regional and national levels in Colombia. In 2012, he was nominated as one of the best regional DJs, and in 2013 and 2014, he was nominated as one of the best national DJs. Seeing his progress, he decided to enroll in a school to learn sound engineering, digital audio, and music production while working at nightclubs in the city. In early 2016, he started his career as an electronic music DJ-producer and began performing at renowned festivals and clubs in Colombia. In 2016, he released his first track "Trompo Sarandengue - DJ Yanks" under the record label Psicotropic Records, included in the album "Psychotropic Rhythms" that featured several artists.
