Dimitris Michas

Dimitris Michas is a Greek-born DJ, producer, and sound engineer whose journey began in Thessaloniki before expanding into the iconic club scenes of Mykonos. Deeply influenced by underground electronic culture, he studied music production and sound engineering in 2010, refining his sound and technical skills while building strong roots in the European club circuit. In 2013, after a successful career in Mykonos, Dimitris relocated to Sydney, Australia, seeking new opportunities and experiences in the dynamic Australian music scene. In 2017, Dimitris released his debut EP, “Non Stop”, featuring tracks “P1” and “P2,” on Innocent Music. This release marked the beginning of a series of successful projects, including collaborations with renowned labels such as Little Helpers and Whoyostro. The year 2017 was a significant milestone for Dimitris, as he was recognized among the Top 100 Minimal/Deep Tech artists on Beatport, reflecting his growing influence in the electronic music scene. His tracks gained substantial traction, with “Mind Games” earning 312 points over 8 days on Beatport charts. During this period, he also secured releases with prominent labels like Little Helpers and Innocent Music, further establishing his presence in the Minimal/Deep Tech genre. Throughout his career, Dimitris has garnered support from notable artists in the electronic music community, sharing stages and receiving recognition from industry leaders. After years of performing at numerous parties and events, Dimitris relocated to the Gold Coast in 2023. Embracing a new chapter in his career, he launched his own record label, Ethereal Groove Music, focusing on organic sounds that blend melodic percussion with captivating vocals and grooves. This evolution showcases his commitment to innovation and his ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of electronic music. In 2024, under his alias DMTRi GRC, Dimitris had a busy year with his Psychology label, performing at Mushroom Valley Festival and a series of parties alongside headliners such as Groundbass, Synthatic, DreamVibes, Skizologic, Unknown Concept and Sphera. These events highlighted his versatility and dedication to the electronic music scene. In early 2025, Dimitris released his Afro House track “Tuine”, under his full name, Dimitris Michas, demonstrating his versatility and continuous creative growth. He has also shared the stage with esteemed artists such as Monkey Safari, Marco Lys, David Morales, Rebuke, Rafa Barrios, Script, Sparrow & Barbosa, Themba, Peppe Citarella, Tim Green, and Double Touch, reflecting his status as a respected figure in the industry.
