Axel Boman

Axel Boman is a Swedish Grammy nominated DJ, music producer, artist and co-owner of Studio Barnhus, the beloved house and left-field pop label sprung out of Stockholm. Known for a musical style that’s been described as “raw, playful, and drenched in oceans of soul”, he's released original work through lauded record labels like DJ Koze's Pampa Records, Tokyo powerhouse Mule Musiq, James Murphy's DFA (as Man Tear) and, as Talaboman with John Talabot, techno institutions R&S and Cocoon – with the majority of his solo work, of course, bearing the Studio Barnhus label. As a revered globetrotting DJ, he's given headline performances on international music platforms like BBC Radio 1, Burning Man, Coachella, Sónar, KCRW LA, Circoloco, Art Basel and myriad clubs and festivals around the globe. Axel Boman holds a master's degree in Fine Arts from Gothenburg University. He's based in Stockholm, Sweden but also resides in Los Angeles, California.
