ARCFOX history

Established in 2017 as an upscale brand of the Chinese auto giant BAIC, Arcfox quickly evolved as a very competitive automaker in the EV segment. Unlike many other automakers, its HQ was in Beijing and expanded into more segments, including commercial vehicles.
It benefited from BAIC's experience in the electric-vehicle operations, and especially through BAIC BluePark, the group's new energy division, which played a key role in the rapid development and expansion of the Arcfox brand. When BAIC inked a deal with the European specialist Magna International, Arcfox was one of the first brands to benefit from that arrangement. Thanks to the cooperation, Arcfox received a stronger technical and industrial base. In 2019, the Chinese brand made its presence felt at the Geneva Motor Show with a stunning hypercar-like vehicle, the Arcfox GT, available in both Street and Race clothing. At the same time, the automaker also unveiled the ECF Concept SUV styled by Walter da Silva. The following year, in 2020, during the global pandemic, Arcfox unveiled its first production model, the Alpha-T.
After it proved its value, the young Chinese brand was able to start a successful cooperation with another tech giant, Huawei. Together, they started working on intelligent vehicle systems and advanced driver-assistance technologies. Thanks to their cooperation, Arcfox quickly became BAIC's premium electric spearhead. While it didn't boast the same historical roots as most of its competitors, the automaker's determination to prove its value paid dividends, and its range of products quickly expanded. At the same time, it had the freedom to adapt much faster than other premium brands. As a result, in less than 6 years, it launched 8 models to market. However, its tech-oriented approach was also packed in elegantly designed sedans and SUVs. The automaker also recognized that a fully electric lineup wouldn't be enough to cover all grounds, so it also produced plug-in hybrids, full hybrids, and range-extended vehicles.
