American Chemical Society Accessibility Statement
Organization commitment, regulatory compliance, and technical standards
The American Chemical Society (ACS) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for our users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and conform to EN 301 549 v.3.2.1, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 standards, and other accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Our goal is to provide an inclusive experience across all ACS digital platforms.
Status of compliance
While most ACS digital platforms are accessible, some features, functionality and third-party tools may not fully meet certain accessibility standards. ACS is continually assessing its digital platforms to identify ways to further improve accessibility for all our users.
Preparation of this statement
This statement undergoes periodic evaluation by ACS to ensure its continued relevance and accuracy. Revisions are informed by audit findings, stakeholder feedback, and the evolution of applicable standards.
