Official Rules for all Sweepstakes and Contests

THESE ARE GENERIC RULES FOR ALL SWEEPSTAKES AND CONTESTS SPONSORED BY WRAL-FM. SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE FOR SPECIFIC RULES PERTAINING TO SPECIFIC SWEEPSTAKES AND CONTESTS. TO THE EXTENT THERE IS A CONFLICT BETWEEN THESE GENERIC RULES AND THE SPECIFIC RULES FOR A PARTICULAR CONTEST OR SWEEPSTAKES, WHETHER POSTED ONLINE OR MENTIONED ON-AIR, THE SPECIFIC RULES WILL APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS APPLY.

HOW TO ENTER. For instructions on how to enter, follow either (a) the sweepstakes or contest rules on wralfm.com/contest,  (b) the rules detailed below, (c) the rules mentioned on Meta, or (d) the directions mentioned on-air. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device or method to automate entry is prohibited. Incorrect, illegible, corrupt, and incomplete entries are void. Proof of entry submission will not be deemed proof of receipt.

SPONSOR. The sponsor of a contest or sweepstakes is WRAL FM, Inc., d/b/a MIX 101.5, and Capitol Broadcasting Company (“Sponsor”).

ELIGIBILITY. Contests and sweepstakes are open only to permanent U.S. residents 18 years of age as of the start of the contest or sweepstakes, and who reside in the MIX 101.5 total service area (TSA), as defined by Nielsen Audio. Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) are not eligible. Unless otherwise stated in the specific rules for a contest or sweepstakes, entrants (a) are eligible to win a prize only once within a thirty-day period, and (b) may not enter a contest or sweepstakes more than once. By submitting an entry to a contest or sweepstakes, the entrant acknowledges and agrees (a) to all of these Official Rules, and (b) to be bound by all decisions of Sponsor, whose decisions are binding and final.

PRIZE(S) AND ODDS. The method of choosing a winner(s), prize description, prize ARV, and odds of winning are outlined in either (a) the specific sweepstakes or contest rules on wralfm.com/contest (b) the rules detailed below, (c) the rules mentioned on Meta, or (d) as mentioned on-air. The winner(s) will be notified by phone, email, or the social media account provided at entry and instructed how to claim and obtain the prize. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize becomes unavailable for any reason. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with the receipt and/or use of the prize. Winner must sign and return to Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release, as well as IRS form W-9: Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification for any prize over $2000.00 in total value. If any prize notification is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any of these requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after thirty (30) days. Any winner who forfeits a prize is not eligible to win another Sponsor contest or sweepstakes for thirty (30) days. Sponsor is not held responsible for replacing any prizes lost in the mail. If winner cannot find electronically transferred tickets in their email, they must contact us at bfletcher@999thefan.com within 24 hours of the event. If the event has passed, the sponsor is not responsible for replacing the prize.

RELEASE. By entering a contest or sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its prize suppliers, affiliates, subsidiaries, and each of such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in a contest or sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. By checking the relevant box or selection on the entry form, entrants agree that Sponsor may contact them via email with information, special content or features. An entrant may discontinue receiving such materials at any time by using the unsubscribe procedures contained in the email message.

PUBLICITY. Except where prohibited, participation in a contest or sweepstakes constitutes a winner’s consent to Sponsor’s and its agents’ use of any and all materials submitted with an entry, including winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.

GENERAL CONDITIONS. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify a contest or sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest or sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of a contest or sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to change the Official Rules at any time to ensure the fair administration of the contest or sweepstakes and compliance with applicable laws.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. The Released Parties are not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in a contest or sweepstakes; (b) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process; (c) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of a contest or sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (d) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in a contest or sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

DISPUTES. Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with a contest or sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina or the appropriate North Carolina State Court located in Wake County, North Carolina; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering a contest or sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with a contest or sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of North Carolina without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of North Carolina or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of North Carolina.

1. HOW TO ENTER. You may enter by texting the keyword when announced, to (919) 860-1015 between 6:00AM ET on Friday, May 1, 2026, and 10 AM ET on Monday, May 4, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). You may only enter each keyword one time per hour per keyword during the Promotion Period. Any additional entries received from the same person, phone number or email address or by using multiple/different email addresses, phone numbers, identities, registrations and logins or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Entrants must be the registered subscriber of the phone number indicated on the entry that is made. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, lost, misdirected, truncated, corrupted, late for any reason, or generated by a script, macro or other robotic, repetitive, programmed or automated means will not be eligible. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
2. SPONSOR. The sponsor of this sweepstakes is WRAL-FM, LLC d/b/a MIX 101.5 and Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc. (“Sponsor”). This sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple, Instagram, Meta, or Facebook. By entering you completely release Instagram, Meta, and Facebook from any and all liability as provided further in these Official Rules. The information entrants provide will only be used by the Station for administration of the sweepstakes and as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules. Any questions that entrants have about this sweepstakes must be directed to the Sponsor and not to Instagram, Meta, or Facebook.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The sweepstakes is open only to permanent U.S. residents 18 years of age as of Friday, May 1, 2026, and who reside in WRAL-FM Total Service Area as defined by Nielsen Audio. Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) are not eligible. Anyone who has won a prize valued over $100 from the Sponsor in the last 12 months is not eligible to enter or win this sweepstakes. By entering this sweepstakes, you acknowledge and agree (a) to all of these Official Rules, and (b) to be bound by all decisions of Sponsor, whose decisions are exclusive, binding and final.
4. 4. PRIZE(S) AND ODDS. Two (2) Carolina Hurricanes playoff tickets to game two (2), round two (2) and the opportunity to sound the siren at said game will be awarded, $500 total ARV. The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.  Selection will take place on Monday, May 4^th, 2026, between 6 AM ET and 10 AM ET. Winner must confirm availability to sound the siren within one (1) hour of being notified. The winner will be notified by email or telephone using the contact information provided on the sweepstakes entry form and will be instructed how to claim the prize. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or otherwise, and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period will determine the odds of winning the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed as part of the prize; winner bears sole and full responsibility for all other costs, fees and other liabilities, even if necessarily incurred in collecting or redeeming prize, including any required tax payments and reporting. Winner must sign and return to Sponsor a prize acknowledgment and publicity and liability release, as well as IRS form W-9: Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification for any prize over $2,000.00 in total value. If any prize notification is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any of these requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Any alternate winners are subject to all eligibility requirements and restrictions of these Official Rules.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between any terms or conditions of these Official Rules and any disclosures or other statements contained in any other sweepstakes‑related materials, including but not limited to the sweepstakes entry forms, or point of sale, television, radio, print, mobile, or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control.

The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes; (2) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the sweepstakes; (3) electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of passive or active filtering of any kind; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

Throughout the Promotion Period, MIX 101.5 will announce to text the keyword “CASH” to (919) 860-1015 at approximately 8:00 AM ET, 1:00 PM ET, and 4:00 PM ET each weekday for a chance to text to enter that hour’s drawing (the “Hourly Drawing”). All text entries with the correct keyword will be entered in that hour drawing; only one (1) entry is allowed per hour. Entries must be received within ten minutes of the initial announcement of the keyword to be eligible for that hour’s drawing. After each Hourly Drawing, MIX 101.5 will randomly select an entrant to participate to guess the 5-digit code to “Crack the Vault”. Texts placed to a phone number other than (919) 860-1015 are not eligible to win.   If the Hourly Drawing winner does not answer the initial phone call at the number provided, they will be deemed ineligible and MIX 101.5 will immediately select an alternate winner. Voicemail, text message, or return calls will not be accepted.  Each eligible Hourly Drawing winner will have one guess to “Crack the Code” to win the $50,000 jackpot.

Anyone who has won a prize valued at  $100 or more from the Sponsor in the last 30 days is not eligible to enter or win this sweepstake. By entering this sweepstakes, you acknowledge and agree (a) to all of these Official Rules, and (b) to be bound by all decisions of Sponsor, whose decisions are binding and final.  

4. PRIZE(S) AND ODDS. Each winner of the Hourly Drawing will receive a one hundred ($100) dollar gift card, $100 total ARV. Each Hourly Drawing winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The Hourly Drawing winner will be notified by a call to the phone number provided at entry and then instructed regarding how to claim and obtain the prize. Then, the Hourly Drawing winner will get the chance to guess the five-digit code that will “Crack the Vault”. If they guess the correct 5-Digit code, they will be awarded $50,000. If someone Cracks the Vault and wins the $50,000, this Promotion Period will terminate and Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, has the option to end the promotion or opt for a separate promotion period. The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. OPEN TO PERMANENT U.S. RESIDENTS WHO ARE FULL-TIME STUDENTS ENROLLED IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH TWELFTH (12TH) GRADE IN NORTH CAROLINA (“Student”) FOR THE 2026-2027 CALENDAR SCHOOL YEAR. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS APPLY.  

HOW TO ENTER. You may nominate a student, or yourself, if you are a student, by completing the online entry form located at wralfm.com/contest between 12:01 AM ET Thursday, January 1st, 2026, and 11:59 PM ET on Thursday, December 31st, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). Only one (1) entry may be made during the Promotion Period; any additional entries received from the same person or email address will void all such additional entries. Entries that are (a) incomplete, or (b) generated by a script, macro or other automated means will not be eligible.  

SPONSOR. The sponsor of this promotion is WRAL-FM, LLC d/b/a MIX 101.5, Emerge Pediatric Therapy, and Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc. (collectively “Sponsor”). This sweepstake is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta.  

ELIGIBILITY. The promotion is open only to permanent, U.S. residents who are full-time students enrolled in kindergarten through twelfth (12th) grade for the 2026-2027 calendar school year in North Carolina. Nominated entrants must reside in the WRAL-FM total service area (TSA), as defined by Nielsen Audio. Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) are not eligible.  By submitting an entry to this promotion, the entrant acknowledges and agrees (a) to all of these Official Rules, and (b) to be bound by all decisions of Sponsor, whose decisions are binding and final.  Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth in the Official Rules. 

PRIZE(S) AND ODDS. One (1) entrant will be chosen at random, weekly on Mondays beginning January 12, 2026, through December 14, 2026. Winner will be invited to our MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM studio located at 3100 Highwoods Blvd. Suite 140, Raleigh, NC 27604 to guest co-host on a upcoming Thursday evening from 7:00 PM ET to 8:00 PM ET with on-air personality Doug Miller. Winner will also receive an official DJU Trophy. Winner is required to bring one (1) legal guardian with them. If winner cannot make it the Thursday following the drawing, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner selected. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash value. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period will determine the odds of winning the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.   

PRIZE REDEMPTION AND RELEASE.  The winner will be notified by email or telephone using the contact information provided on the entry form and will be instructed when to arrive at the MIX-101.5 WRAL-FM studio. Winner, or guardian, will be required to sign and return to WRAL-FM an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release before entering the MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM studio. If any prize notification is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any of these requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. No substitution of prizes or transfer of prizes to a third party is permitted. By entering this promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its prize suppliers, affiliates, subsidiaries, and each of such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in this promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. 

PUBLICITY. Except where prohibited, participation in this promotion constitutes a winner’s consent to Sponsor’s and its agents’ use of winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.  Sponsor reserves the right to change the Official Rules at any time to ensure the fair administration of the promotion and compliance with applicable laws.  Sponsor reserves the right to extend the Promotion Period, or not offer a prize in a specific week, if it does not receive a sufficient number of entries (as determined by the Sponsor in its discretion by the date set forth above).  

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize including but not limited to: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion; (2) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion (3) technical, printing or human error which may occur in the administration of the promotion or the processing of entries; or (4) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. 

DISPUTES. Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that:  (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina or the appropriate North Carolina State Court located in Wake County, North Carolina; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of North Carolina without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of North Carolina or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of North Carolina.
