Hello, all!

As you may have heard, there's a pandemic going around. Most places are still in lockdown, so agent_era suggested we have an impromptu Fic-A-Thon.

Comment to this post with your prompts - as many as you like, but keep them separate. Then, choose a prompt and write a fic. Prompting, writing and posting will go on through the quaranting. No word count requirements, but (virtual) bonus points for writing about or involving quarantine.

You can post directly to the comm, or link back from another journal. Below is an example header, feel free to change and/or modify as needed:

Since everyone seems to be stuck at home and twiddling our collective thumbs, how about doing another prompting post?
Considering most of us are home there’s a chance that a lot of prompts could potentially be filled. Extra kudos if it’s quarantined themed.

I'm also investigating what it would take to host the 2020 exchange on AO3, since LJ has gotten a bit weird about content and practices, if that's cool with ami_ven.

The Rogues & Wraiths Fic-a-Thon has officially begun!

Head back over to the prompt post and choose one (or more!) of the many awesome prompts. If none of those tickle your writing bone, you can come up with one of your own – the more writing, the better!

Once you’ve got your prompt, you’ll have all of January to write your story. Posting will begin on February 1, 2019 and continue until the following Friday, February 8. Recommended word count for a story is 1000 (1k) words, depending on your counter, but they can absolutely be longer.

Not feeling the writing spirit? Feel free to make banners, graphics, fanart, icons or anything else inspired by the Fic-a-Thon. Cheerleading of all kinds is also welcome.

Hello, all!

The Ficathon is going to be a little late this year – and in a slightly different form. Real life seems to be getting to all of us, so our usual mod, virusq, has let me switch up the ficathon for this go-round, to save us some organization time.

Instead of requests and assignments, we’re doing a writing ‘all-skate’. This post will collect prompts until the new year, when we’ll all choose one (or more) and get writing. We’ll have all of January to work on our stories, then post the results starting in February.

Prompts can be vague or complex, specific characters/pairings or author’s choice, subtly aimed at a favorite author or flung out into space for anyone to find. Please create a new comment for each prompt – but post as many prompts as you like. Leaving a prompt doesn’t commit you to writing a story, but we’d love to have as many writers as possible!
