Ok...this is kinda late but this is what I think about the WoW PTR Patch 4.1 class changes (well, the classes I play) that came out recently.
Hunters
Hmmm?
Explosive Trap now has a new spell effect.
I want to know what the new spell effect is...I like using this when I'm on MM spec...
Fucking Awesome Changes:
Multi-Shot damage has been increased by 250%.
- Yes!!! This used to be the lamest spell ever and I only like using it on the horde of Twilight followers in the Stonecore
Tame Beast now tames pets to match the hunter's level, rather than 3 levels below.
The Happiness/Pet Loyalty System has been removed. Hunters will no longer have to manage Happiness for their pets, and the previous damage bonus for pets being happy will now be baseline for all tamed pets.
- Oh dear gods thank you!!! I always get so annoyed when my pets get bitchy and keep needing to be fed.
Hunters will automatically acquire a new target if the current target dies in the middle of a cast.
Auto Shot now automatically turns off until reactivated once Freezing Trap is cast on an enemy player.
Scatter Shot's disorient effect should no longer sometimes be broken by the hunter's Auto Shot.
Right now, it looks like Hunters are getting waaayyy more awesome. No more Auto Shot messing things up, no more running around looking for food for bitchy pets, one of our few AoE abilities are getting better, no more keeping a pet stabled because you don’t want to mess up your raid dps by brining a lvl 82 pet…..yeah. I’m excited for these changes.
Paladins
Goddammit!:
Word of Glory now has a 20-second cooldown.
- Fine, I dps mostly but sometimes, the healer fucking sux. I once had one healer who forgot about me and only healed the tank since he figured that “pallys can heal”. I ended up relying on WoG so I don’t die.
Sacred Shield's internal cooldown has been increased to 60 seconds, up from 30.
Fucking Awesome Changes:
Grand Crusader will now generate a charge of Holy Power if the Avenger Shield it procs is used within 6 seconds.
Divine Storm now generates 1 point of Holy Power if it hits (i.e. successfully lands on) 4 or more targets.
- These 2 changes would make accumulating 3 charges of holy power waaayyy less painful. Thank you Blizzard gods!!!
Sacred Duty can now be activated by Avenger's Shield in addition to Judgements. The effect now lasts 10 seconds, down from 15.
Avenger's Shield can no longer be blocked.
- Hehehehe!
Ok, most of the good changes are for tankadins and it kinda sux that I don't tank too often. I have no sense of direction so tanking's a bitch. Still wondering if I should switch to healing...hmmm...
Still, I love how they're making accumulating holy power a bit easier. Just sitting there spamming fillers while waiting for CS cooldowns is always one of the most annoying things about being a paladin, in my opinion. Still, the fact that DS has to hit at least 4 targets means I'm going to hate slow tankers even more. Pallies suck as it is with slow, mostly single-target runs.
