Hello, this group was just brought to my attention via one of my guildies.  Thought I would say hello.  I am Vic, a 70 elemental shaman on Uther.  I also have a 70 Hunter, Psycotron.  I also have many other alts on horde side.

I am the Guild Master (Mastermind) of the Grave Dancers Union (GDU).  GDU just celebrated its 3rd birthday on Uther and we would like to invite anyone who is intrested to apply.

WTF is up with these drops!

I've been trying to farm (using thotbot as a guide) for two weeks and haven't had any success.

The AH has been empty for days...

Suggestions? Am I simply extremely unlucky?

Got any spare to sell? I need three. I've no clue what the going rate is as they've not been on the AH...

Is anyone else kind of sick of Uther?

Hello. Death and Taxis is a new guild on Uther, alliance side, and we're looking for people who are tired of trying to find PUGs. We're a casual guild, looking for people 60-70, mostly for 5-mans, and perhaps eventually Karazhan and beyond. We would prefer people who are mature, are capable and willing to speak in full sentences, don't take themselves too seriously, and are fun and laid back. We want to help you get your heroic keys, so you can help us run heroic instances. We will have a vent server, and a website in the not-too-distant future. And yes, the guild name is intended as a joke. :)

I am a 70 warlock, and I'm trying to do some research into some of the better raiding guilds on the server. I have not yet been in a raiding guild, so I lack experience, but am definately ready to join one and start learning. The only one I know anything about is VE, however, I am under the impression that they only take those who have already had raiding experience, thus my dilemma. Any suggestions?

So just kinda curious where everyone is now and what chars people are playing. Been gone a few months and kinda outta the loop a bit. Think I'm going to start leveling my warlock up over the next few weeks. No specific goals with the char as yet, just want to get to 70 so I can play with friends if I choose.

So yeah, who all's still around and kicking? :P

Well we had our first real attempt at Gruul's Lair last night.  Maulgar is... interesting!  We almost got him, had all his adds down and started working on him and lost it.  Tragically that was our last attempt as several healers needed to get going.  Hopefully tonight ^^

For those not familiar it's the first 25-man raid content in TBC.  No key required to get in.  It's out in Blade's Edge.  Your first fight is High King Maulgar (ugliest ogre ever!) and 4 of his buddies.  He has a priest, warlock, shaman and mage adds.  It's pretty interesting and brings a lot of classes out to shine.

Mage add needs to be tanked by a mage who can spellsteal his shield thingie.  Lock needs to be tanked by his own felhunters so you need a few warlocks on enslave duty (more than one, since he deathcoils).  Shaman we're hunter kiting.  Priest is easy, just gotta burn him down and interrupt his heals.

Maulgar, however, hits like a gd truck.  No joke.  Trond was getting nailed with 5 digit crushing hits.  aiyee yayay.

So yeah, I'm out piddling around, farming up more mana pots since I burned through my stash last night.  F netherbloom!  gah.  Was really nice to get back to raiding.  Little rusty since most of us haven't done much anything beyond 5-man since pre-TBC, but that'll work itself out in a day or two once we're back in the swing of things.

Ah, not sure if it's been officially said or not yet, but I know Irony is looking to pick up some druids and locks.  Can chat up Munny, Moorog, Trondheim or Timmak about it.  http://forums.ironyguild.com is zee website if you wanna drop an app (or recommend friends) after chatting up the officers.  I think the only real requirement at this point is to be Karazhan keyed, which I'm more than happy to help with the instance runs required for it (Pele in game).  No spec limitations that I'm aware of, our two druids are both resto spec atm but I imagine there would be some happiness to pick up a feral tank or two.

Well, I was bored and I saw that horrible sun mood icon and went EEEEK.  So I made a mood theme.  Hooray.

Wow we've been a pretty silent community of late.  How has everyone been?  Enjoying TBC?

I've been having a fairly decent time all around, I suppose.  Not a big fan of faction grinding, but at least it isn't as bad as trying to rep up Timbermaw or something :X 

Alchemy is driving me absolutely batty.  I've gotten most of the static spawn drops (except for a few out of instances).  Holy Protection recipe is evading me.  The idea of "discovering" new recipes from making others is pretty neat, but again... it's been a total frustration to me.  For a week or two I was busting out a few hundred pots daily and managed to discover absolutely nada.  Pretty much giving up on going out of my way on it.  I'm hoping when raiding starts up in earnest again soon I'll have more luck doing pot combines for guildies.

Anyone have any idea whatever happened to that "live maintenance" thing they were trying to do?  I think they did it once, sometime pre-TBC, but never saw it happen again.  (By "live maintenance" I mean when they tried to do maint without the Tuesday downtime.)

Anywho, pretty bored.  If anyone needs a healer (or fakedps) for something horde-side holler at me :)  If I'm not wrapped up in a guild group I'm usually pretty happy to go.  Instances I'm actively LOOKING for (for recipes) are Old Hillsbrad, Mana Tombs and Mechanar, and could use some Shattered Halls love for rep :X  I slack and wound up skipping most of that zone leveling so I'm a wee bit behind on the rep curve.  But yeah, happy to do anything.  Sitting around in Shatt twiddling my thumbs kinda sucks!
