Glossary

Organization	Description
Account	The top-level structure in fiskaly. Represents your company and holds your users, organizations, products, and billing.
Group	A required intermediate layer within an Account, used to organize multiple Units into logical clusters (e.g., one Group per country). A single Group per Account is sufficient if no further structuring is needed.
Unit	Merchant / Taxpayer operating within the Group (and its associated Account).

Environment	Description
TEST	A sandbox environment for experimenting, testing integrations, and configuring setups without affecting real data or triggering fiscal actions.
LIVE	The production environment where real transactions and fiscal actions are carried out. Activation is required by the fiskaly sales team.

Role	Description
Owner	The user who created the Account. Has all Admin rights plus exclusive actions such as requesting LIVE activation and activating fiskaly SAFE. There is exactly one Owner per Account.
Admin	A user with full management rights, including managing organizations, inviting other users, generating API keys, and activating additional products. Certain actions are reserved for the Account Owner.
Billing	A user with access to billing, plans, usage, and invoices for the Account. Can be assigned when inviting users, with an optional expiry date.
User Manager	A user with permission to manage users and their permissions within the Account. Can invite users, assign roles, and set expiry dates. Can be assigned with an optional expiry date.
Regular user	A user with limited rights, invited to an Account, Group, or Unit. Permissions on fiskaly products are restricted.
