ok i want to drop some pounds.

Also, no matter what i do I don't loose weight. I was on a track team with extensive workouts and didn't loose anything. I don't really gain weight either. So does anyone have like any good exercise tips or workouts i could try?

Thanks

Last night a good friend's father had a heart attack. He's in his late forties, a non-smoker, doesn't really have a stressful job since he drives a cab for leisure and jogs regularly. It's just a juxtaposition against my late Granduncle, who smoked and led a decadent lifestyle until the ripe old age of 90, at which he died of a stroke (but before that had no health complains, and once hit with the stroke passed on soon after).

How is it some people, athletes even, could be living such "role model" lifestyles and not reap the benefits? And others, like my Granduncle seem to get away with it all?

Just wondering what you exercise buffs think of it?

Hey ladies, if this post is not allowed, then by all means, let me know! :)

Myself along with a good friend of mine, Miss xsaltyx have started a new community called girlsout that focused in on fitness and health for woman. This is an entirely positive closed girls only community. We support each other and give advice and share our stories of progress and tips. We also keep up to date journals of whats going on. So far, all the members are mutual friends with one common goal- to look and feel great!

If you have a positive attitude and wish to join our community, drop me a line and I'll add you. :)

Thanks a ton!

hey everyone, sorry for x-posting in advance. this might be a dumb question, but i'm just curious, how exactly and when, do you guys weigh yourselves? like, i heard that in the morning you weigh a certain amount and at night the numbers go up a bit. so how are you supposed to know your actual weight if you have different numbers to go by? and, i'm so frustrated, i've been dieting for like a good 2 weeks and not lost anything. i don't get it at all. *screams* even 5 pounds would be good, just to know that i'm doing something that actually results in me losing something!!

oh and another thing, if i work out like hard-core, will all the muscle i build up in my legs and such, will that increase my weight? i keep hearing about how people go to the gym to 'get bigger' and gain weight. so if i only wanted to lose weight, would that mean i'd have to diet and not exercise?

whew, ok sorry those were a lot of questions squished into one entry. any advice/suggestions/replies would be greatly appreciated~ hope everyone has a good night take care!
