More than 70 Wisconsin PGA professionals faced the heat, humidity, and breeze on Monday at Lawsonia’s beautiful Woodlands Course. With the modified Stableford system rewarding aggressive play (+3 for birdie, +5 for eagle!), competitors were chasing red numbers all day long.
Here is how the leaderboard shook out:
The Winners: Barrett Kelpin (Bishops Bay Country Club) and Mike Nagy (TPC Wisconsin) carded identical 4-under-par 68s (5 birdies, 1 bogey) to finish with 27 points, earning co-champion status.
The Chase: Finishing just one point back in a three-way tie for 3rd (26 points) were Max Hosking, Cody Strang, and Michael Crowley (who also took home low senior professional honors).
A huge thank you to Lawsonia for hosting an outstanding event, and to our dedicated partners: OGM, TaylorMade Golf, StickX Golf, Under Armour Golf, and Hole-in-One USA for their contributions.

Challenging conditions and a dramatic finish highlighted Monday’s X Golf Milwaukee Pro-Am at Tripoli Country Club. Facing gusty winds and fast greens, teams competed in a 1-2-3 Net Best Ball format.
Tournament Highlights
The Champions: The team of Michael Crowley, Bruce Jorgensen, Tom Walton, and John Glowacki captured the title by playing their final four holes at 7-under-par. The group did not record a single team score over par all day, securing a one-stroke victory with a 16-under-par total.
Championship Qualifications: Along with Team Crowley, the teams led by Wyatt Wilderman and Mark Voeller secured invitations to the season-ending Oliphant Golf Management Pro-Am Championship.
Professional Field: Craig Czerniejewski claimed low professional honors, carding a 7-under-par 64 (43 Stableford points) to win the professional competition by five points. Ryan Helminen took home low senior professional honors with 35 Stableford points.

Green, White, and Gold! 🟢 🏆
Incoming Michigan State University Women's Golf freshman Payton Haugen became the fourth player with MSU ties to win the Sentry Insurance Wisconsin State Women's Open! She follows in the footsteps of past champions Syd Wells, Lindsey Solberg, and Allyssa Ferrell. Fun fact: Solberg’s victory actually came the last time SentryWorld hosted the tournament back in 2011! ⛳️
It was far from an easy walk on the course on Wednesday. Payton battled the elements all day, navigating continuous rain, chilly temperatures, and a two-hour weather delay due to unplayable conditions. Despite it all, she never relinquished her lead.
With resilient rounds of 72-71-77, Haugen secured a two-shot victory over low professional Bobbi Stricker. Her gritty final round was highlighted by two big birdies, including an impressive one on the difficult par-4 15th hole.
A huge congratulations to Payton on this accomplishment!
🤝 A special thank you to Sentry, TaylorMade Golf, and The Suter Ward Group at Morgan Stanley for their partnership and continued support of this championship. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire team at SentryWorld for being such great hosts this week! 👏
