Just found out about this video. Not sure how many others know about it, but it's a great AMV.
It's called "Every Anime Opening Ever Made", but it's actually a metaphor meaning that just about every anime opening is exactly the same as every other anime opening. He goes on to say that with the exception of Evangelion, all of the openings were textless, so if your anime isn't on there he couldn't find a textless version.

So who's all going to join me and some of my fellow Ai-Kon committee members at C4 (Central Canada Comic Con) this weekend?
Ai-Kon will be at C4 this upcoming weekend to promote their 10th Year Anniversary happening July 15-17th, 2011, as well as to announce a new one-day event planned for just after the New Year. I'll be there to help out with some fellow committee members, as Ai-Kon is going to have a table set up for anyone curious. There will be posters explaining further details, as well as flyers available should you be interested in snagging one of those beauties up.
Maybe you have questions or just want to say 'hi!' and chit-chat with us? We'll be there all weekend (I'll be there Saturday morning/afternoon and Sunday afternoon/evening)!

Hollywood Isn't Satisfied With Raping What They Already Have...

Hollywood has bought the rights to Bleach, and will be releasing it through Warner Bros in 2014. What are you thoughts on this?
Remember, they did Dragonball Evolution and Speed Racer, are releasing King of Fighters, and we've still yet to see what they've got planned for about 12 other anime to live action movies. This doesn't even include all the movies that they did that went directly to home video (ie the Guyver movies).

We’re looking for a new design for Aiko, the Ai-Kon mascot, for use on the convention’s promotional materials and merchandise.
This year we are introducing a theme.
The theme for Aiko 2010 will be Magical Girl.
The theme was selected based upon suggestions on the forums and by the Ai-Kon committee. If you require further information on the selection, or on what a “magical girl” is please contact art@ai-kon.org
A cheerful, stylish, energetic anime girl with pink hair and blue eyes, Aiko appears on a variety of Ai-Kon promotional items, including t-shirts, posters, flyers, badges, programs, and the Ai-Kon web site (http://www.ai-kon.org).

Naruto beat out Lee. It was the Eight Gates vs Sage Mode, and Sage Mode eeked out by two votes.
Things you'll be seeing in this campaign: Dragon Slaves, Bankai, Sage Mode, Super Saiyan transformations, and lots of other fun stuff that I hope you all enjoy. Not to mention the characters represent the most stereotyped of characters. The ecchi hater, the brainless fighter, the loli (aka the adult in a child's body), the delinquent, etc.
One question I've been asked is "Will there be enemies?" Well, yes. It's an anime based RPG, and there's going to be nine protaganists. Of course there's going to be at least one antagonist. Now, admittedly, "antagonist" is a pretty vague term, but after much consideration, I think the term fits for what the heroes will have to face...
Two teams of heroes watch over Nigh Japan. In a world of beings who can not die through normal means (ie. they mostly just get blasted off into the sky by angry women they cross, and only ever die of old age), the heroes must find out why comrades, and innocent civilians, are suddenly getting injured, and sent to the hospital in critical condition when an unknown enemy invades. Can the heroes take on these strangers that wield such awesome power that they can even kill the unkillable?
...Don't you? ;)
My good friend, who most of you will know better as the cosplayer of Silent Bob, will be a guest Game Master. He'll be in the game itself as his own character, but he'll also be there to play a second game just in case of something gets out of hand. He's a security guard so it'll be pretty easy for him. XD But he'll also be there for other reasons that he and I had discussed when we were talking about previous sessions I'd done at Ai-Kon in the past.
I hope to see at least eight people come to the Anime Crossover RP, besides myself and NIVEUS ("Silent Bob"), and that you have fun.
Things are a little slow going since summer's here, and work's picking up, but everything'll be ready by the time the convention hits.
