WING COMMANDER IV on DVD-ROM

In the stunning sequel to Wing Commander III, civil war threatens to engulf the Terran Confederation as your one timeallies, the Border Worlds, turn against you for power. Having retired to a desert world far from the worries of modern politics, Blair is now a farmer. Unfortunately, his retirement is to be short lived as Maniac appears to reactivate him to active duty. Returning to Confed HQ for a meeting with Admiral Tolwyn, Blair learns of the horrors which have been occuring since he retired. A threat just as deadly as the Kilrathi now threatens the Terran Confederation, a threat whichmay cause a bloody civil war.

You could be bidding on the extremely rare DVD-ROM version of this game. The disc was purchased from a local computer shop and is NEW. The disc has no scratches and does work. NO RESERVE!!!

PLEASE NOTE: It will NOT play in a cd-rom drive. You must have a DVD-Rom reader, combo-drive or dvd-burner to play this game. I don't know if it works on all Windows XP computers. Please assume that it may NOT run without some effort on your part including, but not limited to using an emulator, such as DosBox. Wing Commander IV was a DOS game, but I have to think that since this is a DVD-Rom disc, it has to run under Win95. You can download the patches on several Wing Commander fan sites to make the game Windows XP compatible.

That one time, when Angel got her heart pulled out,

I made a Wing Commander group on myspace.com.,.it doesn't have any posts because i am the only member right now, and i couldn't think of a welcoming post or anything. I do have some decent pictures of all of the boxes on the floor of my kitchen, though. I just thought i would let everyone know that i have always dreamed of getting n a cb radio and pretending i am the Tiger's Claw giving orders to a wing of rapiers. That would be fun. http://groups.myspace.com/WCOrigins

Hi, all...

I just joined, after kicking around Wikipedia looking up my favorite games and getting all nostalgic. I loved the Wing Commander games, though I admit I started with the CD version of WC2 that my Dad randomly picked up for me. Personally, my favorite game was WC4, mostly because it combines a damn fine movie, really, with the flying I love so well. It saddens me greatly that I can't play the game on WinXP. I might slap together a "vintage" PC just for that! (and dig out my old MS SideWinder Pro. Damn I loved that joystick, too :-P)

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi, how are ya, all that stuff. *waves hello*

"I will lick your blood from my claws, human!"

Woooo! A Wing Commander community, could there be anything cooler? I was addicted to the WC games back in high school so much that I used to bring the Clawmarks pamphlet to study hall and sketch the ships and I even made my own Lego Ralathi, Hornet, Salthi, and Gratha!

I've completed the original WC, Secert missions 1 & 2, WC2, Special Ops 1 & 2, and Privateer. I think I came close to beating Wc3 and Wc4 but never actually finished those. I also have compelted WC for the Super NES.

Anyways, not much activity in this community it seems, so let's get some posting and commenting!

First off, what was the most difficult mission you remember from any WC games?

I would definitely have to say Secret Missions 2 (i think it was 2) where you had to pilot the stolen Dralthi fighter to escort a Drayman as well as take out a lot of opposition.

Awesome!

A Wingcommander community! This is the most awesome thing I've seen in a long time. It's too bad that nobody remembers the games, because they were truly classic and are still a lot better than many of the games being released these days. Back then, it was all about the storyline. Now, it's all about graphics. That's what made Wingcommander some of the best games of all time.

Of course, I hardly remember the games. I played them and watched my brothers play them when I was about three or four years old. I've also recently found my Privateer CD, but my good ol' laptop died before I could finish very many missions.

This is just a test. For now, only the community interests and general description have been finished. Rules need to be posted and the layout tweaked. IF anybody has suggestions or comments, just email me or leave a comment here.
