Pretty Potter pic

There's a beautifully done HP pic here:

It's like a sketch from one of those old children's books.

The artist is at artdungeon@yahoo.co.uk

In fact I think I like all her work at artdungeon.

Ooh! And I've been feeling sufficiently doodle-ish this week so I pulled out the pencils and started trying a Faramir sketch yesterday and while I'm still wary of imparting a face to him I think the rest of him looks nice indeed. And I'm trying an F/E but then it got very late last night so I couldn't complete it.

They’ve been publishing Sudoku in all the newspapers for the last couple of weeks and I finally tried it today. The first one was a breeze. It took barely 10 minutes to solve and I was positively convinced I’d figured it all out until I got down to the second one. Argh.

Ooh, but it’s a good puzzle and I can very well see why it’s claimed to be all the rage. It’s fun and stimulating when you’re getting it right but incredibly frustrating when you aren’t.

I finally finished the watercolour I’d left off months ago, after weekends of procrastination. It’s not come out the way it was supposed to:( It was supposed to be red flowers blending into a sepia background… it’s turned out to be red flowers against a blotchy yellow and ochre background. I think I’ve lost touch. I can’t seem to get the watercolours right any more, I don’t feel like using oils and charcoal is not particularly inspirational:(
