The Edco Spee-Dee was a competitor to the Leroy lettering set. It was apparently unsuccessful, since I can't find any references to it after 1950, whereas Leroy lasted until the 1980s.
There's practically no information about the Spee-Dee on the internet, so I'm going to post what I can find here.
These photos were taken by an ebay seller (no idea who or when) and copied by Worthpoint.
