In April of 2024 I decided to learn C++ and make games. Didn't even know programming had languages when I started. After 8 months I had made my first game with a friend, barely a game, but I knew this was what I wanted to do.
Made a second game shortly after. I then spent about a year learing Unreal Engine. I did a couple game jams. But I missed programming without the heavy bloat of UE5. That is when I started designing Water Engine v1. Then I spent 3.5 months rebuilding v2 over and over until it was right.

SFML3 2D engine built for simplicity, modularity, and rapid prototyping. C++20, CMake 3.30.3+. 2D rendering, Box2D physics, actor component system, scene management, PhysicsFS virtual filesystem, .pak content packing, JSON config, magic_enum, spdlog logging, event and state-based input with controller support, render scaling and aspect ratio management. Demo game included. MIT License.
First commercial game, an isometric ARPG dark fantasy based on a novel I'm writing called Catalyst of Quoralis.
