I was scared to direct the sex scenes in the movie because I had never directed them before. My perspective on sex, especially before transition, was that I had deeply buried stuff that I was scared to show people or even myself, and so I just avoided it. I wanted to apologise for having a sexuality. It came to a point when I realized that I’m inviting these actors to perform this, and I felt that impulse of ‘this is ugly’ and ‘this is manipulative’. I’m gonna just let them lead.  I went out to dinner with my partner, and I was talking about this anxiety. She was like, ‘The film is talking about dissociation during sex, and you are dissociating from directing your sex scenes.’ I realized that this is literally my job: to look this directly in the eye, instead of through my fingers. I’m proud of the way I grew as an artist in this movie. The sex scenes themselves are the emotional core of the film.

just came back from watching camp miasma and personally i loved it and find kris a very deeply relatable character to an almost heartwrenchingly uncomfortable degree. my stomach hurts a little. but i’m glad this one had a happy fun yuri ending :) bc when i saw tv glow i cried so hard i almost threw up .

literally everything about angel the series pisses me off (except for cordelia... to a point) but the s5 decision to bring back spike (presumably for ratings/fanservice) and then muddle his characterization to the point where it really feels like some ats writers kept up with buffy & understood where spike was at by the end of s7, and other writers hadn’t kept up with spike since s2 if that. like. what was going on there

#does anyone know what im talking about#ats s5 was dogshit in general as was s4 as was s3 as was pretty much the whole show imo. but literally what was going on#bringing spike back to life so spike fans would tune in and also to give funny haha spangel moments but like#half of the season hes angsty about being a ghost and the other half of the season its like the soul of william pratt has no bearing on him#at all besides being able to tell angel WELL I ALSO GOT MY SOUL. like ….. what Happened there…..

i keep seeing people saying this shit and honestly i think it stems from the infantalization of humans. humans are capable of making decisions for themselves. do some vampires abuse their powers over humans? of course! but you cant assume that every single human vampire relationship (or sire and sired relationship for that matter) is some unhealthy power imbalance, especially when you dont even know them!!!
