Manifesto for whedonland

I used anticipation as a theme.  Fandoms include The Avengers, Cabin in the Woods, Dollhouse, and Angel.

BESIDES photoshop. I have photoshop. But, I used to have this program called video avatar that would take small clips and turn them into gifs. I could open WMM (windows movie maker) and blend two scenes together and then make a gif out of it. Very simple. I miss it.

The above was made with a program called GifBrewery but I think the quality could be a lot better. And this is one of the better gifs it made.

There are very few shows that I actually watch for year after year. (and I'm talking shows that had more than 3 seasons) Buffy. Angel. Charmed. Supernatural, but I am still a season behind. I can think of few others. I loved One Tree Hill, but hated it when the main character Lucas and Peyton left. So I stopped watching it. I loved ER, but once the powers that be killed Carter's child, I was done. I stopped watching it. I love Criminal Minds but when they removed JJ and Prentiss I stopped watching it. (Now I need to play catch up since they came back...well even though Prentiss is gone again. At least it was on that actresses terms this time).

Grey's Anatomy. I have stuck through Grey's Anatomy year after year. Even when they do stupid stuff like shock asystole (which only nurses or medical people like me would know you do NOT do). Even when their storylines are so cringeworthy that I can't stand it--like Denny's ghost. I have still remained a faithful fangirl. But last night's finale not only brought me to tears, it royally pissed me off. To the point that I think I am going to stop watching.

So, after watching Wednesday's episode of Revenge, I kinda went a little icon crazy. I've been making a few icons here and there for a few weeks now and didn't realize how many I had made. If you haven't seen this last week's episode of revenge then...

At least here I know how to post gifs! Unlike on tumblr. Geesh. I just can't get tumblr. I've tried uploading, linking, posting the html version and all I get is a lone frame and not the gif. So irritating.



I love this show. I know I'm late to the game but I can't watch canadian channels (or the BBC) so I am VERY thankful that SyFy is playing it...and it's the original one.

AND HOLY HELL, HOW HOT IS DYSON? That man can rub my feet any day. And damn day at all.

And I have no Lost Girl icons. Totally unacceptable!

and am I the only one that notices where Kenzi's other foot is??

When I left to go get my daughter from school today there was this weird black car with a light bar on top. When I say 'black' I mean more of a solid primer blacked out car to make the vehicle look nondescript. I followed it for a bit and it would stop and get out of the car and mess with people's yards. They had what looked like a metal detector going over three different yards...then one of the men crossed the street and went over another person's house. THEN they went two blocks away and started messing with a water hydrant. They had those yellow vests on and might have looked official if not for the unmarked call.

I called the police. I am still waiting to hear back from them. When I got back from picking up my daughter they were gone. Maybe I scared them off--or maybe the police did. I hope the police didn't stop by when I was at my daughter's school. I want to know what that was all about.

On a different note, my banner making challenge at tbstills isn't going over well. No one except one person has made banners. Would it be really rude to tell people that they won't get banners if they don't step up and enter this challenge? That I am tired of making them banners when most don't even say thank you?? Because really. I'm about there.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, so I am down to the wire on this posting of the gif recc post thing.

BUT SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TUMBLR TO ME! HOW DOES IT WORK? I AM TRYING TO CREDIT THESE AMAZING THINGS THAT I HAVE FOUND BUT EVERYONE KEEPS REBLOGGING THINGS I HAVE NO IDEA WHO REALLY MADE WHAT. FOR THE LOVE OF GRAPHICS, HOW THE HELL DOES THIS WORK??

I am pretty anal about crediting people. But when I click on something it doesn't take it to the actual post so I can't get an actual link...the damn tumblr pages don't tell you the person's name and I'm a little annoyed...

And my work has this yearly thing that I've never gone to. I don't even remember who it was last year but the year before they had Iron Chef Cat Cora come out. I wasn't all into the food network three years ago as I am now so had no idea who that was. So, I didn't go.

BUT THIS YEAR CHEF ROBERT IRVINE IS COMING!! And I LOVE him.
