About Me

Hi! I'm CrystalMirror/Veldee, I'm a big Kirby fan from the UK. My main hobbies are gaming, reading fanfics and drawing. I usually draw OCs and Kirby characters, although i sometimes draw things from other franchises too. I also like writing sometimes, but I'm not that good at it yet.

My Kirby Origin Story

My introduction to the Kirby series was Kirby and the Forgotten Land. At some point in June or July 2025, I was at my friend's house and she had her switch on the TV and had to delete some old screenshots because she ran out of space. She was deleting some KatFL screenshots, and after seeing a few, I mentioned that it looks fun, so she gave me her game card and let me borrow it because she wasn't really playing it much anymore. I loved it, and I ended up getting her back into it lol. When I finished the game, I had just discovered AO3 and I started trying to find fanfics specifically of KatFL, but obviously I was led to the Kirby series as a whole. Through AO3, I discovered a lot of the rest of the characters from seeing them in fics and looking up who they are, and some lore too. I did lots of research, some here, and some elsewhere too. I got a Magolor obsession (along with other characters like Taranza) and a lot of lore knowledge really quickly. I ended up 100%ing KatFL with my friend's help (mostly for the ultimate cup z). In early August, I got Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and when the pre orders for Star-Crossed World were available, I pre-ordered the full game so I would have my own game card. Now, in May 2026 as of when I'm writing this, I've played a lot of the games that are available on the switch/switch 2.
