Royal Road - Stage 8 EX is an optional stage in Royal Road, unlocked once Royal Road - Stage 7 EX is completed. There is one Sun Stone and 6 Keychains in this stage, making this stage the one with the most keychains. The rare keychain is one depicting Taranza. It is the only EX stage of the game to feature Hypernova.

Overview

The stage begins with Kirby entering a portal from the prison complex. From there, he finds his way to a volcano where a Miracle Fruit appears. After gaining Hypernova, Kirby goes through a bit of a boss rush fighting all the bosses he previously fought with Hypernova. Kirby faces down against the following encounters:

• Winged Eggers
• Waddle Dee Steel Fortress
• King Phanta
• Land Barbar
• Gigant Chicks
• Mowlee Bros. DX

In the last area, Kirby can unravel a Giant Scroll which depicts his sprite history, starting with Kirby's Dream Land and ending with Kirby: Triple Deluxe in Hypernova form. At the end of the scroll is a little vignette of sprite Kirby and King Dedede battling at the top of the tower in Bubbly Clouds. The stage exit can be reached from here, but there's a familiar secret waiting within the vignette.

Sun Stone & Rare Keychain Guide

• Sun Stone - Can be found right next to the stage exit, opposite the moon on the Giant Scroll.
• Rare Keychain - Kirby must enter the moon on the Giant Scroll. After falling down, the keychain can be found at the bottom along with various other goodies.

  • "Road to Victory" from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, at the beginning prior to obtaining Hypernova.
  • "The Fountain of Dreams" from Kirby Air Ride, throughout the entire Hypernova section.
  • "Four Adventurers: Cookie Country" from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, in the secret room.
