Freezing Wind and Some Snowmen is the eighth Starry Stage of Star-Crossed World in Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, found in Winter Horns. It is an alternate version of Windy, Freezing Seas.

There are five missions to complete in this stage. There are a total of ten Starries to rescue here, when including the mission objectives.

Stage overview[edit]

Freezing Wind and Some Snowmen consists of two distinct areas.

The first area features at the beginning many damaged frozen rooftops that Kirby must cross to progress. Eventually, he comes across a Big Starryflower that, when activated, creates various moving platforms that Kirby should use to move forward. After reaching a high area, Kirby must press another Big Starryflower to once again make platforms appear, and use them to progress. At the end, a door can be found, that leads to a new area.

The second area is the inside of a cave, and challenges Kirby to complete various snowmen by rolling their heads with Ring Mouth to their bodies. The puzzles get progressively more difficult, and completing each one rewards Kirby with items and Starry Coins. After completing the last snowman, Kirby finds himself outside the cave, and saving the three Starries there clears the stage.

Differences between difficulties[edit]

There do not appear to be any differences in the number of enemies between Spring-Breeze Mode and Wild Mode.

Missions[edit]

Freezing Wind and Some Snowmen has five missions to complete, as follows:

  • "Clear the stage" - Kirby must complete the stage.
  • "Save the hidden Starries" - Kirby must find and rescue the four hidden Starries. Their locations are as follows:
    • Starry 1: This Starry is found in a treasure chest after the first set of moving platforms. To reach it, Kirby needs to obtain Cone Mouth earlier in the segment to the left of said platforms and then use it to break open a cracked surface.
    • Starry 2: This Starry is found near the second set of moving platforms on an elevated platform, which can be reached with a ramp that appears after activating the second Big Starryflower of the segment.
    • Starry 3: This Starry appears in a slightly elevated snowy area after reuniting the second snowman with its head with the help of Ring Mouth.
    • Starry 4: This Starry and the platform it is on appear after completing the third and final snowman.
  • "Shoot the far-off target over the ocean" - At the second set of moving platforms, Kirby must shoot the target to the left with the Ranger ability. The target comes into view if Kirby stands on the ramp that appears after activating the first Big Starryflower of the segment.
  • "Find the hidden cave below the cliff" - In the second room, Kirby must drop down to a cave, the entrance of of which is located beneath the Breakable Blocks under a Crystal Rabiroo after the third hidden Starry.
  • "Build all snowmen without dropping any heads off the stage" - With the help of Ring Mouth, Kirby must reunite the snowmen with their heads without letting any roll down into a bottomless pit.
